Anyone looking forward to this one? The previews and reviews have been positive, and it seems like the perfect portable game. I think I'll pick it up when it's released.

IN!!
The CG version was a little too easy. I'm hoping they may have toughened it up...

This game looks incredible. It looks like Mario Golf RPG.
I don't care if it is relatively easy. I just want to have fun. Tiger Woods on the PC can challenge me, Mario Golf on the GBA should just make me smile and make me feel good.

I'm definitely picking this one up. I more or less own my GBA for the Mario games.

Explain something to me. Did I play Mario Golf for the Gameboy Color in another dimension? I've seen so many previous talking up the revolutionary story/career mode in the GBA game, and I remember distinctly playing a fascinating RPG-lite story mode in the original. In fact, I enjoyed it so much, I was disappointed in Mario Golf for the Gamecube because it didn't have the story mode I was expecting (I never played the N64 version).
Don't get me wrong, I'm looking very forward to the GBA model, I just don't get why everyone's acting like this wasn't done before.

I didn't have it for the GBC, so you are probably right. It's new to me and I am excited about it!
I do have the original "Golf" for the original Game Boy.

Mario Golf on GBC was like the old NES Golf.
Mario Tennis on GBC, however, was made by Camelot, the same developer for MG of Cube, Mario Tennis on the GBC, 64 and Cube and Mario Golf on the GBA.
So you may be remembering the Tennis gba game that had an rpg lite style.

After looking at the screen shots my interest has gone down. Where are the Mario characters? All I see is Anime which is a big turn off for me. I like all of the features though.

Actually Mario Golf for GBC was developed by Camelot as well, and was a full-fleged RPG-flavored golf game (and one of my favorite games on any platform EVER!!) IGN scored it a perfect 100% Here's the Gamerankings link http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/197858.asp?q=mario%20golf

Good to know I'm not crazy.
Why don't previews mention the old game when talking about the new one?
