I downloaded and played a bit.  Fun, but nothing amazing.  Multiplayer might be cool, though.  How much is 800 credits again?

400 points ~ $5, if I remember right (don't have my 360 at the moment to double check).

What is this game like though?

It's like the old marble madness game from Sega.  Basically you are a marble controlled in third person chase cam view.  You navigate courses trying to get the best score possible on courses, or just plain solve the puzzle.

I had a feeling that was what it was, but I wasn't sure.

I'll definitely give this game a whirl when I get my 360 back. Marble Madness and me go back a long way. biggrin

Any multiplayer short of high score comparison?

Think Super Monkey Ball without the monkey and with power ups.

Are they doing any more Xbox Live Arcade games for the original Xbox, though?

I bought the game last night and had a blast playing it.  I did a little mutiplayer as well and it was pretty fun.  Some of the courses on Intermediate are pretty challenging.

My impressions exactly! I bought it and had a lot of fun both in single player and multiplayer. The graphics are nice and polished and the courses are interesting and challenging. My son and I played one of the earlier courses over and over again to get a faster time in the world rankings. It was the one where they introduce the helicopter power-up and by the time we were done we were 7th best in the world!!!!
(Probably much lower now -- look for Captain Cennsa in the rankings!!)

Very pleased with this purchase! biggrin

One of the first XBLA titles I ever downloaded and played.  Had a lot of fun with it at the time.  Haven't looked back though.

RIP.

Rats!  Well, maybe - I loved Marble Madness (on the NES) but completely missed this XBLA version.  That was probably kismet at work, since I wasn't "super-good" at the game anyway.  I'd definitely give it another go if it came back though.  I'd still suck at it, I'm sure, but it would be worth the "memory lane" factor for awhile... I think...  icon_frown

You're in luck, then, Myto.

Apparently, the game is still available through Gamestop.

Not sure how this works, though, if MS is taking it off the servers (and what's the point of just a halt on selling it?).  None the less, people are having success getting it on CAG.
