not to be mistaken for Lucasarts last weeks announcments of the Steam games,LA have SEVERAL announcments that they will be making at this years Comic-con

they are to announce them at the Star Wars Spectacular keynote on Friday.....surely this means, all that waiting for me is nearly up?...Star Wars Battlefront 3?

http://kotaku.com/5315626/lucasarts-touts-world-exclusive-announcements-at-comic+con

Quote
Who's hyping its Comic-Con showing now? LucasArts! The publisher of all things Star Wars and Indiana Jones is bringing with it games, creative types and "several world exclusive announcements" to make your visit to the convention worthwhile.

Two games promised to be on hand at LucasArts booth are Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes and LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues, with members of the dev team milling about to field your questions.

LucasArts will also be making a Big Deal out of Star Wars: The Old Republic, with a "making of" panel next Friday and trailer showings at its booth through out the weekend.

Most enticing, however, are the announcements that LucasArts is hyping. They'll be making those announcements at the Star Wars Spectacular keynote on Friday, leading us to believe they'll be Star Wars related. Yes, it's a wild hunch, but something just feels right about that.

KOTOR 3 is possible,Bioware are somewhat busy with The Old Republic MMO/Dragon Age/Mass Effect 2,3 and possibly even 4(seperate story)...although on their wiki page, they have got in their list of games listed an unannounced next gen title...See here...but even if Bioware are busy,KOTOR2 was Obsidion so it could still possibly be announced

i am still up for SWBF3 though more than anything...but hey,if there are 'several' announcments, surely there is room for both icon_biggrin

PS:feel free to move this topic if like the last one,it turns out to be PC related disgust

I'd be surprised if it was KOTOR3 coming from Obsidian.  Those guys have hinted rather loudly that their unannounced project is an original IP.  That's not proof, of course.

More likely its some sort of Star Wars action game or games.

i did have Blinx..it was so-so,LOL

according to wiki,it was advertised as 'the first 4D action game'...didn't a certain other company advertise their upcoming stuff as 4D? icon_lol

as CK says it was like Mario 64,mixed with either Braid or Prince of Persia time messing about...but not as good as ANY of those games...156,000 copies were sold

ANYWAY........................
okay so the Our list of wannabe Lucasarts announcements are as follows then

Star Wars Battlefront 3
KOTOR 3
X-Wing Vs Tie Fighter
Force Unleashed 2
More Steam stuff(star wars, more adventure games)

so,that should do it,if all that gets announced i would be very happy,i would also be somewhat astounded

Correct me if I'm wrong, but  SW BF3 has been discussed for some time as being in development by Rebellion. It was supposedly the game that broke Free Radicals back when LA took it away from them and reassigned it. If Rebellion turns out indeed to be the developer I'm very meh about the whole game.

I'd personally love to see a new X-Wing vs Tie fighter game; still play Rogue Squadron II [Cube] and Jedi Starfighter [Xbox]. Based upon the poor sales for RS3:Rebel Strike and Jedi Starfighter though, I'm skeptical we'll see a space fighter game from LA. Unless of course it's targeted as a XBLA, PSN or Wiiware game.

Can you imagine an XBLA Tie Vs X-wing starfighter game ala BF 1943...pure online?  Just the basic engine from the old Tie game?  icon_eek

Force Unleashed DLC
http://kotaku.com/5316340/new-star-wars-the-force-unleashed-dlc-spoiled-by-new-achievements

Quote
LucasArts may be ready to drop some new downloadable content for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, as five new Xbox 360 achievements have expanded not only the possible gamerscore, but the game's character roster as well. Warning, spoilers ahead.

The five new achievements boost the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed achievement count from 1220—220 of those points added alongside the Jedi Temple Mission Pack DLC—to 1345 points. Thing is, LucasArts hasn't publicly announced that new downloadable content. But it appears it will soon.

The spoiler-filled possible new additions to The Force Unleashed are after this.

    * And The Quarterback is Toast - Defeat Boba Fett
    * Skywalker Style - Meet Jabba and defeat his pet using the pit gate
    * No More Lies, Old Man - Defeat Obi-Wan, before and after he becomes more powerful than you can possibly imagine
    * Hot Bot - Use the hot irons three times on the Gonk Power Droid
    * Jawa Juicer - Crush 5 Jawas by using the grinder in the Garbage Processing Room

Nice Die Hard reference, guys. And way to fulfill our Gonk Power Droid torture fantasies.

We've contacted LucasArts to get clarification on these new unannounced additions, but haven't yet heard back. That may be because the new DLC announcement was planned to be made at next week's Comic-Con Star Wars Spectacular keynote, possibly one of the "world exclusive announcements" the publisher has planned.

DLC is their big ComicCon announcement? Man, that is too lame for words! Honestly, LA has become, and continues to be, the laughing stock of this console gen. I'll pass on the DLC, just on account that they've become such a lame ass publisher.
