For me, it's going to be two very similar games that I enjoyed with my kids: X-Men Legends 2: Rise of Apocolypse (360) and Marvel Ultimate Alliance (360).  What a couple of fun games!

I also am continuing to REALLY enjoy Dungeon Siege: Throne of Agony (PSP).  What a fun dungeon crawl and I'm still stunned that graphics that good can be found on a handheld system.

...and I feel the need to add that I played through Halo 1 (Halo 2 suxed) a couple more times this year.  That game never gets old!

Horrible save system notwithstanding, I think Dead Rising was my most fun game of this year.

I would say Dead Rising hands down, but I'm a few days into Elite Beat Agents and, man, a smile is plastered on my face the whole time I play it.

Gears of War MP is superfun too.

Game that is not the most fun, sadly, Guitar Hero II. frown

I can not pick one, but the games that were "I have to get home and play" games for me included (in the order I played them), Condemmed, Oblivion, Bully and Viva Pinata.  Not saying that any were without flaws, but all were games I found myself thinking about when I wasn't playing.

I'm not saying that The Outfit for the 360 is the best game of the year.  But for me it was the most fun.

Driving a halftrack through a barricade into a base and fighting off the defending Germans. Then jumping out just before the halftrack explodes and meleing some more Germans before finishing them off by turning their own machine gun on them.  After that calling in some troops and gun emplacements to hold off the German counterattack that was sure to come. The game creates some set piece battles that seem scripted but are not  I had a ton of fun with it.

Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy - For someone who grew up a Star Wars geek, the game is just pure, unadulterated fun.

An absolute +1 for me. After thinking about it this is my favorite console game of the year. Space Rangers 2 gets my vote for PC game but this is it for consoles.

I'm having a blast with Gothic 3 on the PC, and Gears of War/Rainbow Six Vegas/GRAW MP on XBL have all been a blast.

For consoles I guess it would have to be LoTR: The Third Age for GameCube. Amazing game.  Second place maybe Mario Strikers Soccer or Mario Party.

For PC's, tough call..  Company of Heroes is a lot of "Fun", although lite and fluffy on replay value.  We have tremendous "Fun" with Flatout 2 now as well..  Of course I can't overlook legions of fun from BFME2+Expansion.

+1.  There really is nothing else like it on a videogame console.

Most fun?  I would probably have to say Gears.  Been several I enjoyed immensely and quite honestly, 90 percent were complete wastes of my time, but having beat Gears twice and started a third, I would have to go with it.

Game released this year: Gears of War, Company of Heroes, or Lego Star Wars 2 - for pure fun factor, it's hard to decide b/t these three.

Game I didn't play until this year (but the most fun I had): Guitar Hero 1

Old game that I'm still having more fun with than any of these: Pikmin 2

Guitar Hero 1 & 2 (I didn't try 1 until this past May). Easily. icon_biggrin Though I've had a ton of fun with a bunch of games, including FFXII and Viva Pinata, both joining the Guitar Hero games as candidates for my game of the year. icon_wink

The game I played the most and had the most fun with would probably be Just Cause for the 360.  I'd put in Honorable Mentions for Gears of War, Lego Star Wars (yes, the first one) and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.  And possibly Battlefield 2142 and Black.  Or I could just continue listing all the games I played this year. icon_smile
