Autoban. With this in mind, allow me to introduce the latest renovation to our LeaverBuster technology: Automated Leaver Banning. This system will automatically detect those players who habitually leave games, issuing immediate suspensions to summoners who intentionally disrupt gameplay. These suspensions will be targeted towards those whose behavior is habitual and malicious, not those who experience occasional internet outages or technical issues that cause unintentional disconnects.

Yep it works quite well. I don't understand there comment about long death timer early game. If anything the death timer is too short early game and too long late game. The late game death timer effectively allows someof the amazing comebacks that you can get in LOL. EU wise the game is really taking a lot of pressure from it's popularity - we now have the dreaded wow style queues. But generally all is good. Still playing this most nights (have since last January )

Do you play in a group as we have a very active eu group for friendly games and via the qt3 group they also have a very active group for us. Generally have 15+ people on every night. I play on both servers though generally on eu

Yep all live, its quite fun to have the mode so those on the fence with the game can now play a reasonable game against AI and learn something. They are still bad and if you know what you are doing then you're seldom die to them I think the game we played we had something like 90 kills to 10 and those 10 were just laziness on our part

This game looks cool and all but after watching the last video it hit me, this should have been released around 1999. It just seems like a 1999 era game but with much better visuals.
As a side note..I do not think I have the skills any longer to even attempt this game.

Trust me as a 43 year old gamer you do have the skills The heroes that you use are pretty varied from ones that require very quick reactions to others that are more sedate. I'd recommend either a tank to start like Malphite who soaks up the damage or a ranged character like Ashe. Been playing this since January 2010 and still put in an hour or two each night. For US QT3 have a mumble server setup by Bunny fro EU (Andramalech and I play on) then let me know and I have the details. We have between 15 and 25 people on most UK nights

I started this up again and already am about to bail. I played a game or two against the computer to get acquainted again, then a couple of player made practice games. Once I felt I was good to go I joined a regular game. Big mistake. I got yelled at, cussed at and generally abused for not being some pro. The bad thing is I don't know what I was going that they were mad about. I never fed the other team, but all I kept reading was "You are a noob, learn how to play" in much more nasty words.
I forgot I still had a stash of points to spend so I picked up Jarvan IV on a whim. He seems pretty cool, kind of a clean up guy to make sure people go down. Kassadin and Shen are still my favorites though.

Welcome.... to League Of Legends!!!!!......... noob! To be frank, Yes, it's one of the most asinine gaming communities in the entire planet. Most of the players are obsessed with their ELO (a rating number that you can't readily access thru your profile, but it determines how you're matched in game).. and they love to whine.. and I mean *love* to while. If you make the slightest mistake early in a game, some 'teammates' will never shut up about it. Myself? I don't pay attention to the vast majority of the players. I played in PUGs most of the time and I squelch immediately whenever anyone starts whining about stuff. Though, bottom line, you must have one hell of a thick skin to play 'League Of Legends' for a long length of time.

It's one of the reasons I set up a community for players to join in. EU wise we have around 15-25 players on every night. QT3 or GWJ both have mumble servers for US as well.
If you need the EU details let me know

Wanderers still have some regulars on the NA servers if you are interested. Also you might consider playing vs. the AI bots (this is different from playing a custom game) while you get reacquainted, generally the people there seem much more tolerant as they know you are either a noob or experimenting or just messing around. The AI is good enough that it can actually win the game. I was in one where we were up double in kills but had a couple of people who kept wandering off farming instead of playing the game correctly, so the AI eventually rammed it's way down the middle and won.

Anyone know what the cap is on attack speed? I was playing Jarvan again today and by the end of the game I had Berserker Greaves, Youmuu's Ghostblade, Stark's Fervor, Phantom Dancer and the Black Cleaver. Jarvan turned into a a slice and dice machine, but I am not sure if I over did it on the attack speed and crit items.

the Tribunal launches. players can now take part in meting out justice, as long as they're level 30 and not banned for leaving. on the plus side, if you join in with the lynch mob you can get rewards

I've being doing this for the last few days and its very well done. The screens show the full chat log with the player concerned listed in purple. It shows any report text as well as the players end items, score and other stats like play time. You also see 10 games the player has been reported on. Tbh I've been appalled at the level of behaviour of the players whp have been reported. The only thing I'd like to see added is a vote for the degree of punishment. One surprise is you do see the actual player names

Small rant , but I just can't stand the elitism surrounding these games. I tried getting into this recently. Decided to play co-op against the PC missions to help learn the game before going into pvp matches. Only to be told to fuck off by my team mates repeatedly as I was trying to learn the game. Would it really be that hard for people to actually try to explain the game too a noob? I guess typing fuck you into the chat window repeatedly is easier... I uninstalled

Heheh thanks. I realize I probably shoulda come here first and asked the good people around to show me the ropes instead of pugging it. I'd like to learn the game, seems like fun, but this mornings experiences with it left me cold.

It's just the internet for you - playing against the AI should be a very chilled out experience for all but when you have a bunch of 10 year olds in the team anything can happen. I set up the mumble server purely to ensure that I get to play against reasonably like minded people who just want to enjoy what is a fantastic game. I suggest you have a read of the first post of this thread http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18105400 where I have tried to collate a lot of initial learning stuff. If you play on EU servers I can give you mumble access for my server (30+ people) on US I would suggest Gamers With Jobs and QT3 both have people - GWJ being my preference
