Man oh man, I'm so glad I got sucked into the CG forum effect with this title. I know I really don't need to bring it up - you've all played the game by now (right?). But I had to say that this is what video gaming should be. This is enjoyment. I was so sick of getting my ass handed to me by zombie hicks in RE4, and it was a blessing to play a game that I enjoyed, win or lose. A game that was just fun to play. That was so simple, yet so novel and enjoyable.I'm just a little sad that I rented the game, because I just unlocked the Eternety mode in the "Make the Moon" level but have to take the game back. I'd love to spend a while just rolling crap up. Maybe I'll have to buy the game, even though I've beaten it.
Thanks for the recommendation, forum people.
And by the way, assuming that the DS version isn't merely a straight port, I think that that game will own on the DS. The game screams touchpad rolling.

Can someone explain the game to me? I saw it at my Best Buy for $20 and was tempted. But it looked like you just roll up stuff. This is fun?

You can read our review here and check out more opinions at Game Rankings. The reviews should give you an idea of what you do in the game and whether this would be something you might enjoy.

i haven't gotten hooked, myself - although that could be because i have a gigantic backlog of other stuff to play. However, every single person that i've showed the game to has gone nuts over it. There is someone upstairs playing it as i write.
the count of people who tried it at my house (fairly briefly, some of them) - and then went out and bought it, or liked it so much i got it for them - is something like nine or ten. plenty of people here at CG did not like it, but it seems like many more did. I strongly suspect that when i do start playing it, i'll end up "just trying to beat that last one" too. Actually, that's one of the reasons i haven't played it yet, I just realized.

It's only 20 bucks and is a ton of fun. Anyone who appreciates games will love this. The music, gameplay, and ambience all create a truly unique experience. And did I mention it's only 20 bucks????
Really, don't be a cheapskate, go buy it!

In theory, there's no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

And the music rocks too. Various songs from the game were stuck in my head all night.

Grand Theft Auto is considerably better on the PC. The graphics may not be as technically impressive as they are on the PS2, but the control scheme is *much* easier for me to handle.

"I was so sick of getting my ass handed to me by zombie hicks in RE4, and it was a blessing to play a game that I enjoyed, win or lose." see, in re4 if leon loses his head in a fight, just start rolling it around to pick up ammo and gems.
