Here you go!

I was on the fence with this one until seeing it, but now it's a definite buy.  Probably not a day 1 purchase (unless 1 of the 3 games I have on pre-order is delayed) but definitely a pre-Xmas buy.

New Game Informer article said some pretty interesting things about Kameo:

"Kameo: Elements of Power is definitely going to surprise a lot of skeptics. Anyone who loves that 3-D action style adventure of The Legend of Zelda will find plenty to love here."

And The Legend of Zelda comparisons begin!

"Kameo has all of the elements in place to exceed Rare's heyday in the N64 days, and bring back the developer's good name."

Whoa, pretty strong words there.

"It has been said by our very own Billy Berghammer that Kameo's visuals are close to the best that Pixar has to offer. I must admit I was skeptical of this claim when it was first declared, but Rare really does come pretty darn close."

Sounds pretty nifty!

It's funny becuz it is the fact that it reminded me of Zelda that makes me not so interested.  Never liked that kiddy style.  But damn, that thing sure looks nice!  I'll give it that in spades.  Should be a good game to show off your system with.

It -does- look good.

Actually, to me, it looks less like Zelda and more like Jak and Daxter or Racket and Clank. Which, IMO, is a good thing. The xbox aways seemed to play second fiddle to Sony in platformers -and when you look at the AAA platformers on the PS2, that's not really a surprise. This might start things offer differently for the nexgen systems, especially since Sony's strong platformer series have 'wrapped up' on the PS2.

Then again, Sucker Punch, Naughty Dog and Insomniac might just raise the bar even more on the PS3. We'll have to wait and see.

After watching the latest video at the link provided up top, I'll completely agree with you here. It looks far more actiony than Zelda was, and more of a R&C title (just with less shooting).

I intended to purchase this game day one as it was, but now I'm really starting to get excited about it.

When I first saw it, I was impressed by the graphics, but didn't see what the big deal about the gameplay was.  Now even I'm getting excited about it and thinking about picking it up, where I didn't think I would be picking it up before.

I've been so excited for this game and it just keeps getting better and better.  It has been a while since I got this excited over a game!  It better live up to the hype!  I think the Zelda comparisons are taken more from the graphics and world design.  Also, the puzzle solving sounds similar.  It does look to have a more action than Zelda, which isnt a bad thing at all.  Day 1 purchase no doubt about.

I think it looks clunky and not really fun to play.

+1 for shiny, pretty graphics, though.

I honestly think you are just looking for reasons not to like it and the way it plays. There was nothing clunky or not smooth about that video, and how could you possibly tell if plays fun without hands on impressions?

I think it looks absolutely pretty and silky smooth.
