My initial recommendation to play Baldur's Gate II together was uhm...a bit ambitious at best. With the upcoming Fallout III teaser trailer in just a few more days, I think it is time we all went back to the Vault and played Fallout 2 together. Thoughts? [attachment deleted by admin]

I would be far more interested in a BG2 runthrough Ron-let me know if you ever do it. As for me, I honestly completely dislike the Fallout games, so I will have to pass

I loved Fallout 1 and never got very far in Fallout 2 so ordinarily I'd be up for it. But there's another game that's going to keep me occupied for awhile.

I think I've bought the Fallout games about 3 times i(the cheap jewel case versions) and tried to get into them but never could. I wonder if I have the last set I bought around here somewhere.....

Just a suggestion. If you guys have an alternative I'm all over it. Well I am committed currently to the FF7 playthrough with Warning if I ever "find" the PSX version-but for a pc runthrough, I think an infinity engine game would be fun as well-BG2 of course, or maybe a fun hack and slash like Icewind Dale 2-after you all do your fallout stuff

I...really don't have time for this. While I'd love to play, don't get me wrong, it's just not gonna fit into my time schedule. That, and like Zarkon, I'm stupidly trying Oblivion again. EDIT: I demand that you post lots of screenshots of the aftereffects of Bloody Mess.

The decals don't last long, but I will next time I fight something big. My sword gets nice and red though. Right now, though, I'm getting eaten alive by imps. I'm /not/ good at magic.

It seems that you've forgotten what the term Bloody Mess means, Zarkon. Shame on you. Ron? Care to give us an explanation from your trait in Fallout?

I'd do it, but I want to play Fallout 1 to completion first. I've gotten about 1/3 of the way through that about 3-4 times.

I wouldn't mind it, since I dumped it shortly after starting two times already. But I'm already doing the FF7 revival, so the timing might be bad.

For this play through, I believe I will use Killap's Patch, seeing as how I've never used anything but the official retail patches. From what it looks like, this patch fixes pretty much most of the bugs/glitches found in the game. I plan on also playing Fallout 1, a game I really haven't played as much as I should have. I've played through FO2 a dozen times, while I've played FO1 probably only twice.

Did quite a bit in the game this weekend....let's talk a walk down memory lane. First I created a character with the Bloody Mess trait...because it is always a visual treat: Don't believe me? Let's look at how you can cause a bloody mess. First...go for the eyes Boo! Step 3, profit! (and a bloody mess) That trademark humor is alive and well both in the chat text... ...as well as the combat text. Shooting downed opponents in the groin is just mean. It isn't all bullets and mayhem though! You have to make time for religion.... ...and hot lesbian marriage action. (My 'wife' died in the next battle. Battle hardened she ain't) More on the progress of Jade as she seeks the holy G.E.C.K. next weekend!

I have two copies, if you are looking for one. It's just the disk, however.

I installed Fallout 1 and tried to play, but the screen goes corrupt-black and only reveals the UI where I move my mouse.... ugh. Trying one of the later fan-made patches to see if it fixes the problem.

I took a break from Fallout to try to play Hospital Tycoon. Unable to get that to work, I went back to Theme Hospital.

I have the urge to replay FO2 as an evil bastard. Every time Ive gone through it Ive been a goody goody. I wonder how evil plays out in it? The most fun I ever had as evil was KOTOR 1.

The darn thing keeps letting my gamble more money than I have in my pocket. I am enjoying FO2 so far, but it's a lot less graphic than I was prepared for at this early stage anyway. Is there a good way to pass time quickly other than a hotel? The Doctor skill seems to buy a few hours to pass the pitch black of night, but I'd think there's a better way.

Hit the little bell looking thing in the upper left when you are looking at your character screen (I think its in the Pipboy) and you can select how long you'd like to rest.

Well, I've completed all of Shady Sands and all of Junktown (oh! Fallout 1 of course). And I've managed to recruit Ian, the Dog and the shotgun guy. And wow I forgot that the voice cast for fallout was so good! (Killian in Junktown is Richard Dean Anderson aka MacGuyver). Check out the cast at IMDB.

Yeah I played FO2 before I ever played FO1 and I was really surprised by how many talking faces FO1 had and how well they were done. FO2 almost seemed like a step back in that department to me.
