here in the UK,for beta users Blinkbox(movie rental service) and MSN Video Player are now available

at first i was meh about the MSN video player,as i thought it would be the same as the MSN thing that the old dash would have(2 minute entertainment videos etc)...but hurrah,it also has classic TV episodes

I'm not liking the new Netflix interface.  For one thing, Recently Watched is gone

It's still there for me. Netflix seems to have gone all Hulu when designing this interface.

Well, hell. Got on Netflix last night, it decided to download an update and then... no more Recently Watched. WTF?

Recently Watched is usually there.  I've seen it go missing on both the 360 and PS3 clients, so I suspect it has more to do with some kind of problem pulling data from the Netflix servers than the players themselves.

That wasn't my experience at all.  Seems weird that it would, since Recently Watched lives on the Netflix servers, not the 360.  My Recently Watched is usually synced across all the different Netflix devices I use.

That's what I thought might be going on, so I watched a couple of Buffy episodes and then exited Netflix. Came back in hoping to see it there now but it wasn't. I'll check again later, see if it's a transient thing.

I was on Netflix on my PS3 earlier this evening as a test and it decided it needed an update as well. First thought - here we go again. However, when I got into it, all of my recently watched items were still there.

I know it is all stored on the Netflix servers but it has been oddly inconsistent with what it shows me as 'Recently Watched' across platforms. On my 360, it had dropped it down to one item before going away, my PS3 shows four and their website shows three.

we just got 4oD which includes entire series of some pretty great comedy -Father Ted(actually there's only 2 series on there,but i have them all on DVD anyway),Black Books,Spaced,The Inbetweeners and Peepshow to name a few


gotta admit i am loving these apps..keep 'em coming,we still have the BBC one to come in the new year

I've given it over a month and I just can't seem to get comfortable with this interface. I love the new options - the new apps that are now available - but this interface is a complete failure as far as I'm concerned. And it's completely the opposite of my Windows phone, which has a great interface, so I hope the convergence they speak of leans more towards the phone's interface than this mess on the console.

yeah, after watching the MS keynote at CES I've pretty much written off Windows 8 with the new interface.  I hope they put in a 'classic' mode.

granted, I don't mind it on the 360 as I have a Kinect.

Not a fan of the new interface either. Unless you've got a tablet or touchscreen, the whole 'Metro' thing for Windows 8 is crap but at least people have found you can disable it via regedit to get back to something more Windows 7 like. Hopefully they'll put a kill switch in the GUI.

I don't find it convenient with Kinect at all, either.  Manipulating it takes more time than with a controller and using the voice requires a lot of steps to get where you want to go.  Nevermind the fact that I often can't talk at my TV with sleeping family members in the house.

I am so-so about the new dash interface,i am glad they use the bumper buttons to quickly go back and forth to the next board(or whatever they call them),it would drive me mad going through everything just using the control stick/d-pad

I still think there are too much advertisements,and its a bit more of a pain finding your downloaded videos if you do not use Zune(i found out that you have to now go to video player in apps)

The Game Marketplace in my view,is pretty shit now,don't like it one bit

The site is only available in UK,USA,Canada and Republic of Ireland...so my guess would be only those regions would have the 360 app

Endgadget is reporting that HBO Go will hit on April 1st;  really been looking forward to that one coming.

I can't wait for HBO Go to become a self sufficient streaming service...it's the only thing keeping me from cancelling DirecTv at the moment.

Today's launch of HBO GO for Xbox 360 isn't going over too well for Comcast and Time Warner customers.

A HBO representative confirmed to Game Informer this afternoon that Comcast, Time Warner Cable, and Bright House are currently not supporting the HBO GO app on the console.

"It is HBO’s ongoing goal to provide our acclaimed programming to subscribers whenever and wherever they want it. We believe the launch of HBO GO on Xbox 360 is a huge step in accomplishing that and we are hopeful that all of our distributors will chose to support the service on the Xbox platform," a representative said.

"We encourage our subscribers at non-participating television providers to reach out to their provider and request that they add support for HBO GO on Xbox 360."

The current list of supporting providers includes:

So I am unable to use the Xfinity App because I have a cable card with my TiVo box.  Comcast is pissing my off .  So you must have a set top box to use the app
