Won't let me sign back in after my update, keeps saying there is a connection problem. Using the Test Connection, it says no problem. Then it says if you can't login, redownload your profile. I try to do that and it cancels and says 'Profiles can't be downloaded right now', but wait, it already deleted my local profile, so now I can't even play offline. Fucking MS

I'm not liking the new Netflix interface. For one thing, Recently Watched is gone, which is a huge pain, as I use it to get quick access to whatever series I'm watching. The start key is no longer 'pause', but brings up the menu bar. You can then choose pause, but it adds another step when trying to answer the door or phone, all to give easier access to fast forward, rewind, and stop, which I don't use at all.
Also, for whatever reason, Netflix just scrambled the order of my instant queue. Whether its related or coincidental, I dunno.

Also, at this point, I see no XBLA listing at all, never mind Indie games. I like to see what's new in both of those and demos and DLC, now I either can't find it or have to go in and out of multiple menus.

I got the update and immediately went to play MW3. Before it would let me sign in I had to agree to the new terms of service. Since I had no choice, I agreed. I was then able to go and play MW3 online with no problems.

Xbox marketplace, then go to the different sub-sections. Once I got used to it (during beta) I didn't miss the old interface. I just wish I could change the sort order to my preferences (eg: demo tab on far left rather than far right).

Same. Exact. Issue. I'm not sure I understand how they would let an update blow up a system even for offline access. It's just a massive update. Don't they have the servers for this? They roll out windows updates to far more users without this type of issue (anymore). Hmmm, I wonder if we can blame Hyper-V (he says to the no one in particular as he admires his VCDX). For what it's worth, http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status - when you can reach it - says they are aware of the issue with the Live service and working to correct it. |

It logged me out of Live in the middle of an episode of Doctor Who, but didn't dump the stream. It downloaded the update, but it wouldn't let me back in. As I was done for the night, I just turned it off.

Recently watched was still there for me after the update, but sometimes it's not there. I think it's a problem on their end. same thing with the queue re-ordering, it happens to me about once a week. |

I guess I'm a little confused about how everything seemed to work during the preview program, but now that it has been released to the public everything has shit the bed.  I'm certainly apprehensive of turning my Xbox back on as it hasn't been booted up in over a week other than to watch Scrubs on Netflix. But I'm not sure how they can force you to agree not to blame them for hardware failure, from something they have forced you to download, before updating your console. Otherwise, if you don't update, you can't play. So Microsoft is forcing you to download an update to play, you can't blame them if things go south, yet if you don't download the update you can't play.  |
