i can tell you the update took all of two minutes to download and install

bah i went into video player where i unwittingly started to download the Zune Video player(which i have never liked and deleted it last time),the update for the player is 38mb and for some reason its taking ages to download

I ran into the same problem through Bing and got an error when it tried to download the Zune update.

I probably could of actually,hopefully the things that pissed me off last time have been corrected,the zune player has finished downloading now and is currently just doing its thing before it launches,but its taking awhile

EDIT:yeah Pete,i just got this,Zune Service not available please try again later(status=C101A24F),LOL

EDIT 2:if it isn't letting out too much info,it doesn't look like any of the TV channels or Youtube are here yet,not surprisingly really as i wasn't expecting them straight away,unless i have missed them

EDIT 3:oh dear,one of my biggest fears seem to of been realised,while your premium theme main backgrounds have survived(it still has that stupid grey area at the bottom though),it looks like your friends individual backgrounds have not survived,which is mainly what i bought my premium themes for,LOL...i hope that gets fixed!!

Can't say I'm much of a fan of the changes yet myself.  Seems more cluttered and visually confusing at first try, and doesn't work well with my natural/learned inputs.  Will comment more when we can I guess.

i am still very unsure about it,harder to see the Inside Xbox Videos(you have to navigate further to get to them,same with everything else really),the Game Marketplace is not as user friendly now,and so many advertisements

At least you no longer have to skip past them in order to launch a game.  That's an improvement.

there's ads?  I really haven't noticed, but then again as soon as the Kinect fires up (seems to take longer for some reason) I just say 'Xbox' and then the tab name (Games or Apps, haven't caught onto Quickplay yet) and then 'Play AC Revelations' or 'Netflix'.

I still haven't seen anything about which ones of those are free and which will cost extra. I'm guessing most if not all will be extra charge. Earns a huge meh from me if that turns out to be the case. Not paying for both them and cable and Live.

Hey Pete.  I imagine this is the standard MLB.TV package they offer on MLB.com.  I've purchased this the past two years and find it really nice.

Good:
- Stream "all" (see the Bad below) games to my computer, phone (iOS or Android), iPad and PS3.
- PS3 app (which I hope the 360 will mimic if it's not the same one outright) allows you to go back and watch previous games, skip to innings, etc
- Web browser app allows you to watch up to 4 games simultaneously.

Bad:
- Local teams are blacked out.
- Other blackout windows (weekend day games and some random bullshit I'm sure is tied to advertising money)
- You have to pay extra for post season coverage

The local thing is a pain in the ass, but I cover that problem with my Slingbox (watching sports is pretty much the only thing I use it for).  Plus, that wouldn't be an issue for you (allows me to catch a bunch of Cardinals games, my child hood team).  Overall I'm looking forward to the addition as it's one of the few reasons I turn on my PS3.

OK, watched an episode of Wolverine & The X-Men and the interface is better than I thought.  at the end of the current episode it gives you an option to go to the next episode while the credits are rolling.  not sure if this is the case for other series (not sure why it wouldn't though) but it's definitely a
