PS2: Don't know if there's anything planned

Don't forget about God of War 2!

Yes I did forget about God of War 2, I hope it's as good as the 1st. Actually even 3/4's the quality of God of War would be OK by me.  icon_wink

Blizzard has said that they plan to announce their next game sometime in 2007, so I wouldn't count on it this year.

Unless they try to pull a Valve  icon_biggrin

DS: Dragon Quest IX
PS2: Rogue Galaxy
360: Tough call; probably Forza 2 or Blue Dragon but there are many I'm excited about.
Wii: Not sure; haven't picked up the system yet anyway. Depends on what gets delayed. I'll venture to guess that Mario Galaxy will be the most anticipated for me.
PC: easy one. Hellgate: London
PS3: The only exclusive that interests me is Final Fantasy XIII. Gran Turismo 5 would, but it won't be out this year.
GBA: Final Fantasy VI

Overall for 2007, I'm going to have to go with either Dragon Quest IX or Hellgate: London.

Since Resident Evil 5 is postponed, I would have to go with God of War 2 for the PS2.

Behind it would be (all 360 by the way):

Mass Effect
Assasins Creed
Lost Planet
Halo 3
Bioshock
John Woo Stranglehold  (I too loooonnnnggg for that Max Payne type of fix)

Ooh, I forgot about Burnout 5...I just hope they don't overdo the free-roaming thing and ruin the whole vibe of the game.

-New Ratchet & Clank on PSP (is there a PS3 one scheduled?)

Yep- it was announced at GDC last year and Insomniac said recently they would be devoting most of their resources toward it now that Resistance is finished.  Hopefullly we'll see it at the end of this year.

For 360:  I'm leaning towards John Woo's Stranglehold.  I need a Max Paynish fix.  Also Mass Effect looks good but I'm not 100% sold on it. Crackdown looks fun but I'm very skeptical.

DS:  Phoenix Wright II hands down.  DragonQuest 9 (I don't know if it's a 2007 release) is up on the list even though I'm probably not going to finish 8 (100 hours?)  But man a great handheld RPG would be awesome.

True, Stranglehold is still on my list of highly anticipateds, but Mass Effect has clearly passed it.  And I didn't bite on Crackdown.

In retrospect, Phoenix Wright II wasn't really worth the wait. It's a fine game, but not stupendous like PuzzleQuest.

I didn't know about God of War back then, if I had GOW2 would have made the list...though I've still not played it.

So as I sit here in may, just 4 months later the list looks like this now:

1. Mass Effect
2. Stranglehold
3. Half-Life Orange (or whatever)
4. Bioshock

Pretty much not anticipating anything on DS now, but am looking to be surprised.

Half-Life 2: Episode 2 + Team Fortress 2 + Portal = teh awesome.

Stranglehold should I have a 360 by the end of the year. Ditto Mercenaries 2.

Rogue Galaxy (PS2)
Crackdown (360)

Mass Effect (360)
Assassins Creed (360)
Half Life Episode 2/Team Fortress 2 (PC)
John Woo's Stranglehold (360)
Bioshock (PC)
Alan Wake (2007 or 2008?) (360)
Indiana Jones (360)
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (PC)
Ghost Recon 2 (360)

Rogue Warrior (PC)
Kane & Lynch: Dead Men (360)
well, Indy has fallen to 2008 and Rogue Warrior has fallen off my radar.  STALKER was great, as was Crackdown but both Rogue Galaxy and GRAW2 lost their shiney newness quickly.  I'm sure I'm forgetting some games, but other than the NWN 2 expansion there's nothing I really need to add.
