I like turn based RPGs, and I like their comic (sometimes) so is the game good enough to get cheap?

I played the demo but never bought it.  YMMV.

It's actually pretty fun, but I felt ripped off at $20.  It'd be good for $5 to $10 (can't remember what 800 points equates to in real money).

I always wanted to get it, but felt 1600 was too much.  They apparently did as well, since Episode 2 came out for cheaper.  However, they never did lower the price on XBLA.  I saw this announcement earlier in the week and vowed right then and there to buy it next week.

I think so.  It's pretty funny and it's pretty fun for that price.

is it 800 points now?

i bought the game when it first came out,i love the artwork and the comedy in the game but could never get used to the gameplay,in fact i found it incredibly hard when it came to the second area of play...the second game apparently now has a difficulty selector, but i dont want to play that until,i have finished the first...and that doesnt look like it will happen

its a game i really wanted to love, but couldnt

at 800 points, and with you prolly being better than me i would say go for it...especially if you liked the trial game, but like i said for me it got a lot harder

I enjoyed the game and will purchase the second one once it hits the European PSN store.

As for the difficulty, I found it frustratingly difficult at first too, until I realized that the game strongly encourages you to use lots of items during every fight. You'll be swimming in items, so don't be afraid to use them. Something like a molotov cocktail or a stick of dynamite against hobos, or a fruit against the robots, will help a lot. Also don't forget your supporting characters.

Thanks for the heads up - I was interested in this when it first came out but thought $20 was a little much for a game of unknown length.  Ten bucks is my sweet spot for this - I'll be picking it up tonight.

I've always had an interested in this game, I don't particularly care about Penny Arcade but the art style reminds me of the old 2D point and click adventure games like Monkey Island.
