IMO pink is a pretty gay color and I personally would have nothing to do with it.  If you like pink you might be gay.  You also might not be.

From a westernized asian male's perspective, I wouldn't give a second thought if I passed another asian male with a pink DS, but if I were to see a white (I can't spell caucasian) male walking with a pink DS, I would first check if he had colour coordinated his wardrobe to his DS: If YES => GAY, if NO => still GAY.

Although, when the Ipod Minis were really popular, I was contemplating whether to pick up a pink one because they were the only ones available at the time (I was going to buy a protective case for it anyhow to cover the colour).  Luckily, the silvers became available one day and I managed to pick one up.  Gay averted....
