FWIW, Oblivion is much different from Morrowind. The world is quite a bit more 'alive' and from what I have read in the strategy guide, completely fixes most of Morrowinds problems.

Wow, tough crowd.    Cool

I've got my pre-order for Oblivion in.  I really enjoyed Morrowind, but lost interest before getting close to finishing it.  From what I've seen with Oblivion, that shouldn't be an issue.

I don't have any of the systems for those games, which lessens my enthusiasm somewhat.  I am excited to play Morrowind if I ever get a 360, but that will be a long time from now, if ever.

Yes they did but they do keep things interesting.  I just feel sorry for them.  What a boring upcoming week they have.  Maybe I'll bring them some chicken soup.  Tongue

I guess if they rooted for classier hockey teams and played a true handheld system, they would then see the light!

Don't worry about me! I'll be enjoying a great baseball game on my handheld next week while you guys are lining up blocks, fighting against touch screen controls and killing rats.

Is not the single biggest feature still a living open-ended world?  Yes, they improved it greatly, but if someone didn't like the open world to begin with, the 'fixes' aren't going to make this an enjoyable game to them.

If this is available for PC in stores on Monday 3/20, I will be a VERY happy man.  Just happen to have that day off.

I was hyped for Suikoden V, but it has become a wait for reviews after the initial negative impressions I saw of the japanese version.

It is when it has 10 player multi player and online multiplayer, not to mention many new game modes.  I loved the original Tetris and this seems to improve on it greatly.

That is my biggest fear and dislike about the first game and why I got bored within an hour, and from the vids I have seen this week showing not much more than people roaming around enjoying the scenary I fear it will be the same for me.

I have got to have a distinct purpose and direction or I get tired fast, and that is simply because I never play in more than 30-60 minute spurts.  Or less even.  So, roaming around for an hour looking at swaying trees or people riding by on horseback could not be more uninteresting.  I will no doubt buy it because I am weak when it comes to overly hyped games such as this, but usually I trade it in or swap it off within a week.  So, be on the lookout cuz you may be able to get mine cheap or for a trade.

I think it'll be different this time. There is a compass that actively guides you to your next objective and gives you a sense of direction that was lacking from Morrowind. So you should find the game more engaging when it comes to quest objectives.

There have been a lot of very postive impressions, too, with many calling it the best of the series.  There's a pretty lengthy review here.

Most certainly not. Oblivion will most likely be enjoyable for those who liked Morrowind, but it's not going to be the GOTY everyone is claiming it to be.

Metroid Prime Hunters and Tetris will be nice diversions until the new SMB is released.

It has plenty of direction.  When I previewed the game a month ago, I didn't feel lost at any time.  You can still go off on your own, but you always have quests to run.

Well, Gator, you sure brought out a lot of Boo-Birds, lol.

But, if you can make Tetris, Metroid, and/ OR  Elder Scrolls fans happy in one week, I'd agree that your are having one great gaming week.  And I only plan on playing one of the three for now, although I have thoroughly enjoyed various versions of Tetris and Metroid in the past (and Tengen Tetris still, lol).

After all, we can't ALL be bored to tears by baseball on a console.

LOL - sorry Devil, I adore baseball, but I totally and completely and irrevocably and horribly suck at sports video games.  I mean, really - i'm that bad.  Gave up back at Double Dribble, lol.

Ah, but the Tengen version of Tetris, omg - it can't be beat! It's the best ever - if you ever see some idiot selling one cheap, grab it if only for the resale value.
