So I have a hankering for a new game, and thus in about two hours I'm going to get into my Mini Cooper an drive to Gamestop to pick one up.

I know these two games are totally different styles... but which would you pick up if you had to choose?    Or is there another you'd get instead?  (note:  I just finished Arkham Asylum, which was excellent).

Played them both.  Both are solid.

I had more fun with KZ2.

But I generally prefer FPS's to open world games.

Never played inFamous, but I did play through KZ2.  It's fun, if a little short.  The atmosphere is amazing and they really went the extra mile to make the world "lived-in".  There was multiple times I was blown away by the scenery.  The in-game characters are tools though and I wanted to kill them all myself.

Hard to say since they're totally different genres.

Do you like FPS or GTA-style games better?  Both are well-developed and quality games.

do you have any interest in online multiplayer?  the KZ2 single-player campaign doesn't last as long as inFamous, but it does have a pretty solid MP game that can keep you occupied for a while...

Yes actually I do like Multiplayer.

Perhaps I'll buy KZ2 first, and then make inFamous my next purchase.

Opposite for me, though they are both very good.

You drive a Mini?  I suggest Little Big Planet.

I was going to say Singstar or American Idol Encore.

InFamous all the way, the ending is fantastic. Killzone to me is just another FPS with nice graphics.

LOVED Infamous... merely 'meh' on Killzone 2.  KZ2 does have excellent MP though.

i just finished the KZ2 campaign on the default difficulty for my first time today and my total time was just under 8 hours...but i don't think that accounts for all the time spent replaying areas when you die.  it also lists that i only had 49% completion on the campaign because i didn't take the time to hunt down all the intel items and symbols hidden in the game...hard to do when you're so focused on the intense action.  it wasn't a long experience, but i really enjoyed the entire game and have to say it's probably one of the most intense FPSs i've ever played...off the charts sense of scale and immersion from beginning to end.  the whole experience seemed like a FPS version of Gears of War to me, and that's not a bad thing in the least.  i'm looking forward to the inevitable follow-up icon_cool

I thought Prototype was WAY better than Infamous (which annoyed me from start to end), so my vote goes to KZ2.
