I need help with the dune buggy level of HL2!

Am I supposed to turn those thumpers off?  And is there a map?  I can't figure out where the heck I'm going!  Thanks!

Look closely at what those thumpers are doing for you. As a hint, I'll say, no, at this point you don't want them off. Basically for awhile you just want to learn their function. A time will come that you will want them off but it's not for a while.

And no, there's no map. But it's a coastline, so just try to follow it in the same direction everytime. And don't ever think you need to leave the buggy for good until someone tells you to.

Reverse what you know from Tremors and Dune. The Thumpers are your friends, and will fend off the Antlions. If you see one that is not on, odds are your mission will involve turning it on. The trick I've found to staying alive is to pay attention to your environment, and I mean EVERYTHING in your environment. Wires, rocks, everything. And stay off the sand when on foot.

No a dune buggy isn't a spoiler since it's in previews.  I can't tell which direction I'm supposed to be going it all looks so similar.

I'm hoping that I am all most finished this level.. I enjoyed it at the start but now it is nuthing more than a pain in the ass .. it has gone onto long..

I'm at the point where there is 2 helo thingies and a couple of fences to get through, is it near the end? I hope so cause this is getting on my nerves I wanna get down to some grunt type work without all these stupid antlion dodge em car puzzle solving jumping shit  :evil:

If you mean drop ships and the batterys then you are definately make good progress  There is a bit more still but you are more than half way through it.
