I have always vowed not to join another forum as I already devote excessive amounts of time to the Octopus Overlords forum (and some may remember me from the GoneGold days), but after having enjoyed yet another fantastic evening of multiplayer gaming with some of the GT clan (papasmurf, JarrodHK, and perhaps a few others I'm forgetting at the moment), and having been lurking for quite some time, I would be remiss to continue to avoid joining GamingTrend due to time constraints when I could be broadening my Xbox 360 Friends list with even more fantastic people to enjoy multiplayer gaming with.

My main reason for joining is the popularity of multiplayer gaming both here and at Octopus Overlords, the obvious camaraderie you all seem to have together, and having already enjoyed meeting new people from GT just through common Friends (such as JarrodHK who also frequents both GT and OO), I figured now is as good a time as any to become a participating memeber here at GT, if only to meet new Friends to chainsaw and curbstomp to death (or, perhaps it would be more accurate to say "to be chainsawed and curbstomped to death").

So for those who are sometimes looking for an additional teammate or enemy fodder, feel free to add PhillyPeteRock to your Friends list.  I currently have Gears of War, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, PGR3, Madden 07, and Test Drive: Unlimited in my multiplayer library, as well as classics such as Halo 2 (which I still play with friends from the Philly area), so hopefully I'll be able to become an active member here, both on the forum and in terms of online play.

Heya Pete. I spend more time here, because the console threads see more activity, but I keep tabs on OO too. When I'm into a PC game, there's usually more discussion over at OO.

Yeah, that's one of the reasons why I came over here as well.  I post enough in the Everything But Gaming forum to make things interesting, but sometimes I just want to chat about console games, and there are some days that the OO console forum is a bit slow.

Is that why "shoot here" shows up on screen rather than their names anytime they fall within your targeting reticle?  I thought I was at first seeing things due to my hightened awareness and elevated adrenaline from battle, but now that I know others have seen the same thing, perhaps it really isn't a figment of my imagination.  Thanks for the tip.  Boy, you guys sure are swell, offering up free advice like that.

Ok lets get this started the right way:

The Eagles are utterly average. I know its painful to hear, but its true.

Your tattoos are wierd.

You buy lots of expensive and wonky entertainment/electronic (oh wait, thats Kobra, not me- biggrin).

Daniel Craig looks like a sissy in every film BUT layer cake-thats not enough to make him a good Bond.

The Eagles aren't that good.

Ok, now that the air is cleared, good to have you  :slywink:
