Title says it all.  It looked a bit like Arx Fatalis, but maybe I'm completely wrong.  Some reviews were hot and cold, but I would like a player's, not a reviewer's viewpoint for this one.  If I enjoyed Arx or Ultima Underworld, would I like King's Field?

Having owned it for a time, and never gone very far...it makes me glad that Morrowind did better.  I wish From Software had used the dev money on Armored Core instead. smile

It's slow and really nice looking for a first gen PS2 game.  It's also the kind of game that could put you to sleep.

Never played the PS2 or the PS sequel, only the first  Kings Field. I loved that game.

The PS2 game, found here on gamerankings, didn't score so well.

a) 54% ranking
b) only one in the 90% margin
c) it's from 2002 (first gen PS2 title)

I'd say you're looking at a game worth a try if you're getting it for almost nothing.

Yeah that's what I thought.  EB near me has it new for $15.  I think I'll pass for now.
