Simple poll, I'm wondering how many games you have finished in the first half of the year so far. Thanks a bunch.

20?! I don't... I think you somehow misunderstood what being a gamer's all about.
Let's go over the codes again, shall we?
1. Continuously purchase as many games as possible 2. Never finish them. 3. Ever. . . . 100. EVER.
That said, 2! And I consider that a huge streak for me.

As Fellow said, not very many. Thankfully the question wasn't "how many games have you purchased." I have managed to beat a few of them, but not nearly as many as I probably should have or could have. I still enjoy them, though!

Eight, with a couple more that I'm nearing the finish line on. Finished so far:
Star Trek Elite Force II Jak II Beyond Good & Evil Broken Sword: Shadow Of The Templars Viewtiful Joe Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker Ninja Gaiden Fire Emblem
I'm currently working on Thief 3 and Pandora Tomorrow. Trying to finish those before Tales of Symphonia and Sudeki hit.

Don't get your hopes up on Pandora Tomorrow...the ending cinema is rather anticlimactic. Oh well, at least the gameplay rocks.

I sincerely try to finish every game I play. Where do you find the time? There is no way I could finish 20 games, even in a year. Heck, I can't make myself buy 20 games in a year. Although the 5 $4.99 games I just bought will bump my usual up a bit.

I've learned to function without sleep. Sincerely, I will sit down for 10-15 minutes and play when I get home just to detox from work and school. That usually means I play through one mission of Front Mission 4 or something and then put the game away. It takes a great deal of restraint. Eventually the game is finished.
That said, when a review is pending, I'll block time to churn through the game to review it. It make mean several smaller blocks or a few larger blocks, but its all about time management. (but its mostly the 'not sleeping' thing.)

I truly suck at finishing games. Even going back to last year my list is shamefully short.
This year I've managed to get through Ratchet & Clank:GC and Fatal Frame 2. I'd add PoP to that, but I think that was late last year.
I'm really close to finishing FFX, but I'd gotten stuck on that boss with those two spinning pylons behind him. :x

I rarely finish games as well...I play until I'm sick of 'em then trade them. However, I've beaten two that I remember this year. One was True Crime in two days (then a quick trade [that game sucked, btw]) and the other was Kingdom Hearts (which was probably the most pleasurable gaming experience, as a whole, from a game I've gotten).

Kingdom Hearts was a game I never got back to. I still have it but the thought of 'leveling up' so I can beat the Cerberus turned me off. Especially the damned Gummy-ride to get there. :/

Especially the damned Gummy-ride to get there. :/ Hehe, at first I didn't like the whole Gummi-ship part... UNTIL I BUILT MY OWN UBER SHIP! It was actual kind of cool. Took awhile to understand, but pretty neat. I really take my time with games (only at 30 hours and I'm exactly halfway through La Pucelle) so I guess I didn't really have to level up much, since I basically did it throughout the game.

I really have been meaning to pick up Kingdom Hearts. Particularly with the sequel and the new GBA title.
I play a lot like TML described. I end up doing every little errand and every side-quest when I play an RPG so I usually have enough levels not to have to grind them out.
What I need for a game to do is really grab me. Make me think about it when I'm not playing. The THPS games made me do that. The first Castlvania (I was obsessed with getting all the cards) and Metroid: Zero Mission on the GBA. Recently it was Spiderman 2.
I wish I didn't need sleep!

Yeah, I'm finding all of the single-player campaign to be a little underwhelming. Still good, but it feels like an expansion pack. Multi is a lot of fun, though. I usually don't play multiplayer, but a coworker convinced me to give it a try and I'm really impressed. The multi realy saved this title from being just another sequel.

I've finished 13, but most of those were PC games. There are some games that can't really be beaten (like NFL 2k3 or Super Smash Brothers) so I just put in as many hours for that particular game as I spent money for: $30 for NFL 2k3, 30 hours of play for NFL 2k3.

Woo hoo! After not having much gaming time in the last couple of months, I had almost the entire day to myself yesterday and was able to finish not one, but two games! Finished Thief 3, which I liked a lot despite a host of technical glitches and the feeling that the ending was under-developed due to time constraints, and Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, which I enjoyed for the characters, setting, and ambiance, despite the fact that the story is dumb as snot and insulting to anyone of at least mild intelligence.
