Sorry to break up the football talk but has anyone played this one yet?

Tiger Wodds has grown kinda stale for me and since there is no Links this year I was wondering what you guys thought.

Do you really want to know what I think?

I think it's obvious noone has a clue.

By the way, who is Tiger Wodds?

This was reviewed in the latest EGM, didn't get very good scores.  Basically it is Hot Shots Golf 3 with more characters (such as Jak, Daxter, Ratchet and Clank) and the online service is severely substandard because it takes forever to get the scoreboard up I guess in the 30 player real-time tourneys (I have no clue how it works).

The biggest minus is that there is still the three button press hitting engine instead of the Links 2004/Tiger Woods analog stick swing.

I'd go with Tiger Woods, but I liked last year's version quite a bit even without any Live support, which it will have this year but only for 2 people

I know!

How bizarre is that?  Two people only.  Why?

I can only guess because that is the amount of people there were in last year's PS2 version.  It's quite stupid because Links 2004 had a nice setup with 4 people playing (even at the same time), I don't know why EA can't pull 4 at one time.

3 CLICKS!!! What is this, 1994?

Arghhh!!

I never played any of the HSG series so it might be a nice distraction.

Ponch - Imagine the two of us trying to play a round of golf? I'd need to take a week off!!!

7.0, 8.5, 6.5 - I guess the scores were a little higher than I thought.  Live tournament has up to 50 people at one time.  Between hole scoring updates slow the game to a crawl online.

That would be quite funny.  I have never played this series either.

What did you download?  Something to fix LameCast I hope?

I am free on Sunday after like 5:00pm.

Let me know.

OK.  So what is the verdict on Hot Shots Golf Devil?

Mostly, I need to know if the single player is worth it, since I am  not hooked up to broadband with my PS2.

I'm still scared - NO In-Round saves!!

You have to play the full 18 at one time.

Combine that with click-swing and I think it's going back. I'll probably pick it up used or when the price drops...

That sucks!  I was hoping you would give it a stellar review.

Oh well.

By the way, how is pinball for the xbox?  You picked that up right?

Pinball is meh - The tables are pretty good but getting the right view is kinda a bitch. Probably worth $20.

Umm...this is a tough one.  I had HSG3 and it was a ton of fun.  Great to just leave on when people are over and just randomly play or pass around...in general HSGF is the same way.  However, HSGF is not that much better or anything, it does have mini-golf which is entertaining every once in a while but I find myself passing over it for other games.

Tiger is okay but the caddies and the goofiness of HSGF has its draw for added entertainment in single player...

I have Mina No Golf 4, which is the Japanese version of Hot Shots Golf, and I say it's outstanding.
