Got a question............i've got HL2 and all of the silver package games updated as much as possible.  However, i read threads all the time about cd keys and i just realized i was never given any.  Am i missing something here?  The reason i ask is because if i start HL1 or DoD source, it puts up a window that has a place to register my products with a key, which i never got.
Should i have gotten a key or am i alright?  I just checked my confirmation email after i purchased the silver package a few weeks ago and there's no key.

That's weird XMann.  I have the silver package as well and it lets me add the game to the "My Games" list and download them and play them.  I hope someone else here can help otherwise the Steam forums might be the place to go.

Edit: Day of Defeat Source isn't available yet and neither is Half-Life 1 source.

I just checked my email, and no key either. I don't think it's needed if you purchased from Steam directly. I know I've already played CS-Source, and didn't need a key.

My email says:

"Thank you for your recent purchase. Half-Life 2 Bronze is now available in your Steam "Games" window. To play, just double-click on the name of a game in this list."

Mentions nothing about inputting a key first, so I guess we're ok.

You don't get a CD-key with Steam.  Your "cd-key" is automatically tied to your account name that you use to install, so don't forget your password or login.

ok good.  ya i've been playing cs source a bit but my concern came when you try to start HL source or DoD source it brings a window up that asks if you want to register it or not and i know i didn't get a key.
so that i understand, when those games are unlocked, i'll just need my account info. and no key, correct?
