Has anyone purchased a day 1 digital from PSN?

As the title says, has anyone tried this?  I see Dead Space 3 is up there for pre-order and I'm curious if you can download at 12:01 on release date or if you have to wait for PSN to update.

PSN also has awful download speeds so its not like you'd be playing right away anyway.

I get pretty decent download speeds with the PS3, and pretty bad ones with the Vita. It also seems to vary from day to day.

I took 3 days to download SOE's DC Universe game on the PS3....and I'm not kidding.

This is on a 11/3 line with no cap on download.

I get excellent download speeds but only on my Vita...it took under 30 mins for me to download all stars (~1 GB).  My PS3 downloading on the same connection is about half the speed.  Both wireless.

on my old PS3 it was pretty slow, both wired and wireless.  My Vita gets decent speeds on wireless, as do my 360 (wired), Wii/Wii U (wireless) and PC (wired).

On that note, both my vita and ps3 dl speeds are pretty fast. Ps3 dl speeds used to be rather slow, but over the last year or two they have been pretty quick. 1gb takes about 20 to 25 mins. Not too bad in my book.
