So back on on May 1st, 2002 the game Morrowind was released.


Anyone doing a play-through right now? I've been working on one for a while but stalled for a bit. Loaded it back up again tonight. Hope to at least complete the main story line at some point.

I actually played a little last night. Forgot to save (stupid old games!) and lost all my progress when I died.

Quick question. Do you really walk that slow in the game or do I have a setting off? I feel like I am crawling. Running helps but that is limited.

I'm currently finishing off a playthru of Oblivion 360, but I have Morrowind GOTY for PC and I'm seriously considering  playing it again once I'm done IV.

I'm not sure about walking, but from my last playthru of ES III with my Battlemage the animation for running was as slow as molasses unless you increased your athletics skill. Maybe it affected walking too? The newer games didn't seem to be plagued with that.

No, it is just that slow. There's a set of footwear that somewhat helps for that.

Increasing your Athletics skill will enhance your movement speed. Try swimming whenever possible; that builds up the skill faster than walking.

I remember finding a pair of boots that gave you massive speed but blinded you when they were equipped.

i have it installed with a save last played jun2006. Finished the main quest but still haven't played the expansions though they are installed. Remember the 1st town and the nearby dungeon well. Need to go back 1 day as it was always fun exploring the unique places.
