I was flipping on tv last night and I saw an alien and a bunch of scenes that looked like a movie. I quickly flipped back, watched an amazing series of scenes the whole time expecting this to be some kind of new sci fi movie I have yet to hear about. Then Halo! I am so juiced for this game now!  I have it reserved and paid for already.

Its a reference to the movie "Back to the Future."  The flux capacitor was what let them go back in time in that movie.
