I broke my first string on my guitar.   I'm still rocking out on the guitar and bass.  Would you guys be interested in seeing my progress when I've restrung the guitar and can do a capture?

Better yet, twitch! On a side note. After 9 years away from playing I've decided to get one of these http://www.sterlingbymusicman.com/ray34 and start it up again!

Those are pretty sexy!   My wife's bass is a 1970 Ampeg Big Stud that her dad gave her as a gift.  I've got a picture around here somewhere....

So, are you actually learning to play the guitar or did you already know how?

Learning how.   I have always played percussion, so lead guitar and bass are completely new.   I'm putting in the time too - I practice pretty much every day.  Guess that is a testament to RS2014 as the previous version was abandoned pretty quickly.

My strings?   7 bucks.  Laura's bass strings?  30!

I will post her guitar pic tomorrow.   smile

Can one simply plug in their own guitar in? Is there a simple adapter?

I have a few electric guitars and a bass that someone gave to me...

I think I'd like to cut my teeth on learning Would (AIC).

Perhaps working my way up to Frusciante's "Snow (Hey Oh)" ... you know, in like, 20 years. Tongue

I have Would from AiC.  For one....strangest tuning ever, and two, it's a little far down in the difficulty level.  smile    The awesome part is that after only two months of plinking I'm at about 50% mastery of Would already.  I'm just gonna try to not think about how much all this DLC is gonna cost me.  hehehheeh

Ok, sorry - as promised, here's my guitar and my wife's bass.  Her bass is a 1970 Ampeg "Big Stud" bass - a gift from her father.   And yes, you are goddamned right that room is Saint's Row purple.

So far so good.  I can play some songs at about 90% accuracy and mastery level (it slowly ramps you up until you are playing the real thing) and I'm using a real guitar....so...yea.  I guess so.  smile

I never got one of those, sadly.   I do have a fairly rare Chainsword from Warhammer 40k though.  I'll drop a pic in of that tomorrow (it's at work - it "sends a message").
