guitar hero is looking to be so darn great, i absolutely cant wait for it to come out. i think its the type of game the ps2 needs to keep it alive. just the music, its great. best soundtrack i've ever heard. and the gameplay looks awesome. so yeah.

It plays awesome too.  Reminds me a lot of Frequency/Amplitude, but with much better music and a way better controller.  Hitting the whammy bar on the held notes is just cool, and you activate the score doubler by yanking the neck vertical and playing.  The guitar feels pretty solid, along the lines of the Taiko drum.  I'm definitely getting this on day one.

I used to play the crap out of Guitar Freaks on my import PSOne, is this game similar?
