I have tried this mission (Just Business) a half dozen times and I'm not even close to beating it. My 51 year old reactions aren't anywhere good enough to beat this horrible mission. Does anyone have a clever way to beat it?

It took me a few to get thru this also.
aim for the people on the bike and the shooters in the car
forget about the truck If you can you can hit the tires.
listen to what smoke is saying like people up front or on the side
and so on.

Good Luck.

I love love love this mission. So much fun. Again, aim at tires or the shooters. Don't worry about the truck too much.

Ignore the truck.  Nothing it does has any effect on you.

Aim at the center mass of the bikes, you will knock them out, or hit the guys on it that way.  Get the bikes first, then cars.  Try not to blow the cars up.  If they explode near you it hurts your bike.

For the road block at the flood control gate, shoot the center car in the 3 car block.  When it starts flaming, shoot the two gunman on either side of the single car blocking the other way.

The strat guide says to have an MP5 in your inventory before starting on the bike chase.  However, even if you do, when you are on the bike shooting you will have the Mac-10.  So I dont know if it helps to have an MP5 or not, maybe it gives some kind of power up to your shots.

This is a tough mission, especially since it is so long and its a pain to restart it.

I didn't want to start another thread for mission help and clutter up the forums.

Has anyone completed the "Supply Lines" RC plane mission in SF?

I can kill all 5 targets with the tiniest bit of fuel left, but can't get back to base. Maybe it's the order I'm killing them in (van right next to the base, then bike, then south van, then back north to the dirt bike and then the final van)... or maybe I don't know how to conserve fuel in an RC plane, does full throttle eat more gas than it gains you in travel speed?

I beat it by going south, west, north...the same clockwise order it sounds like you were doing.  Are you killing most of the couriers with one flyby?  Remember you hardly need to aim at all, there's an auto-aim for the plane that lets you be facing pretty much anywhere in the general direction of your target for it to hit.  Also slow yourself to a crawl when firing, do everything you can to kill each target in one swoop.

Coopasonic, I haven't got to "Supply Lines" yet but from reading other forums it looks like its the hardest/most frustrating mission in the game.

Well, I finally beat "Just Business", but I had to use the Game Speed Cheat to slow the game down to do it... and it still took me two tries and I still almost lost!

Either the rest of you guys are awesome, or my reaction and coordination is just one step up above a glacier

UPDATE: Crap, it seems that using the cheat has done more than just messed up the percent complete. I started the "Beach Party" mission and I'm not getting any icons at the bottom of the screen to "dance" to. Damn and double damn.

SECOND UPDATE: Never mind, I just had a brain fade. I can access the dance steps in "Beach Party", I just wasn't hitting the right arrow the second time to start the dance sequence.

Did I mention I suck at the dancing, too? And the speed cheat doesn't help there?

So what are the ill-effects of using cheats in this game?  I haven't yet looked for any, but if I do I don't want the get to the end and see a "now do it without cheating, sucker!" of miss anything else.

That Supply Lines mission was tough.  I think the order I managed it was to hit the closest ones first, and by the time they were dead, the farther out ones had gotten closer.  Also, I can't actually proove it, but I think holding down the X button uses fuel faster as well as making the plane go faster, I thought I noticed less fuel consumption when I was not holding down X.

Zero's next mission is a heck of a lot of fun.  I wish I had had the brains to make a seperate save nearby so I could play that one whenever I wanted.

I sucked at the dancing and car jumping sequences also, until I started pushing the buttons to the beat of the music instead of trying to hit them in the perfect middle of the circle.  When I hit the buttons to the beat, I seem to get lots more "perfect" comments...

I've only used the speed cheat and so far no ill effects except that the "percent complete" number is in the hundreds and seems to change randomly. I'll post if I see any other ill effects.

Still stuck at Beach Party <sigh>....

Oh, I did have some luck at the Inside Track Betting location. Turned $6,000 into over $2 million on three consecutive bets! I did save between each bet, I'm not crazy  biggrin

For the dancing mini-games you kind of have to go with the beat vice when its dead center in the circle.  It really helps in those cases if you have a sub-woofer hooked up.

Yeah!! I beat "Life's a Beach" (aka "Beach Party") with no cheats! It took about a dozen tries and a dozen dances at a club, but I finally scored 4040  biggrin

You do realize if you ever want to try to get 100% complete, this might prevent it and thus cheat you out of some cool rewards.

SPOILERS ON VICE CITY 100% REWARD
Vice City had hireable body guards, extra armor/health, extra armor on cars, and an in game t-shirt for 100%

Then again, 100% has been claimed to take 150 hours.  And I haven't heard anyone bragging about it yet, so it just might...

One of the FAQ writers on gamefaqs posted a 100% complete screenshot, 90 hours and 8 minutes played.

Since I'll never have the patience to find every gang tag   I wouldn't be going to 100% anyway. I never made it there on the previous two games, but that's not what I was aiming for. My long-term interest in GTASA is to unlock all the areas so I can drive around and do the odd job missions and, just maybe, finish all the main line missions. On the PC I still fire up the two older games just to go cruising, although now that I have GTASA I'm totally spoiled by the larger map size  .

Last night I was on a roll and finished all the missions needed to unlock San Fierro, but there are still areas of Los Santos I have yet to explore, plus there's the street racing, the girlfriends, and the odd tag to come across. I'm keeping some older game saves so if I get bored or frustrated with some of the newer missions I can go back and do more in Los Santos.

Oh, and for those old folks like me who need that game speed cheat to get by, so far (cross fingers) it's not been any more of an impact except for hosing up that "percent complete" stat. I can honestly say without that cheat there is just no way I have the dexterity or reaction time to beat some of these missions.

Wow, 90 hours.  I wonder how long it would take without any FAQs, tips or guides...

That's going to be my personal challenge for PC.  With Rockstar as my witness, I'm going to get 100%, date every woman, and not turn to maps/guides/cheats/forums for help!

I'm a GTA Freak if you haven't guessed already  biggrin

well, obb, good luck in getting 100% with no external help.  even with the map, i still had trouble getting all the tags.  the photo ops are even worse too.  the pictures don't jive with the map locations, and sometimes, the photo icon doesn't appear where it should.

i found a way into the SF airport too, although something i found afterwards made that route trivial.  i can now access the maverick and a few different aircraft.  in short, you jump from the top of the ridge running around the S end of the airport.  you need a lot of speed, no bumps from passing cars, and some luck.  i narrowly made it once.  you could use a bunny hop with a bmx if your skill is high enough.

or, if you want, you could use the crop duster parked at the top of the hill looking over the airport instead. Tongue

What's the ITB Exploit?  I know what ITB is, but are you saying you can win every time?

Well the longshot horses came in 2 out of 3 times for me, so it was easy to go from 200k to 12 million...but once you get passed. o 400-500k, all its good for is gambling, better weapons at ammunation and random things... 1 million is enough for most things in this game, houses and cars included

basically the "exploit" is, you bet all your money on a longshot horse (or if you are all about legal, 1/5 of your money...ish, usually they come in 1 every 5-6 min, but better to be safe than sorry)  and the payouts are roughly 1-10 or 1-12...  you do the math...

repeat procedure until you win...
