Has anyone jumped out of a helecopter onto the balcony of the Statue of Happiness and then tried all 4 doors yet?

Has anyone dropped down on any of the rooftops of the buildings surrounding Middle Park yet?

Any building in particular?  I'm pretty sure I have but don't recall anything special.

There is a penthouse on top of one of the buildings.   You can go inside and explore.    I think south side of the part on the rightish side.

There is also a 'Statue of Happiness' shirt hidden around the Statue.   You can pick it up and wear it.

I'm actually surprised at the number of open buildings.  While most are nothing more then stairs leading to the roof, it still helps make the world feel a little more real.  Only annoyance is there is no easy way to determine which buildings you can enter and those you can't short of trying the door.

Oh...  another not really hidden, but still kinda cool:   there is a skate park somewhere in the game.   Not sure location but you can take your motorcycles there and jump and do stunts, etc.

I laughed at the sign in front of one of those doors.  the only bad part is once you're up there with the doors you have no way of getting down that I saw.

actually, there are two skate parks...one just west of the southwest corner of middle park, and the other on the pier west of Memory Lanes.  i haven't messed around with it much, but you can do some fun stuff with the motorcycles icon_cool

IGN has a great Liberty City map with user-submitted points of interest that will lead you to just about anything of interest in the game...pretty cool.

OK, there's no way not involving death to get down.

I don't know if everyone has noticed or not, but when driving the police cruiser on the 360 version you can push down and hold on the left thumb stick to create pitch and duration variances in the police siren. There are two different versions. I try to use them going through intersections, man I am such a geek.

My kid got turned on to reggae from listening to Tuff Gong, and we Wizzed a song to get the artist info.  It showed up as Petr Ilyich Tchai...  Can you guess what color our vehicle was?

White!  Wiz had successfully identified the song as Tchaikovsky.  It was the ice cream trucks jingle.

I noticed something neat tonight. If you hold down the brake (the proper brake, not the e-brake) and punch the throttle you can sit there and do a burn-out complete with white smoke (and highly accelerated tire wear as you'll find out after about 20 seconds). There must be a special additive in Liberty City gas as just about everything I've tried has tire melting torque.

Anyway, the most impressive part is that it seems to model the difference between a locking and a open rear differential, as performance cars like the Banshee spin both rear wheels, while a family sedan only spins only one side. neato.

Shoot out some of the lights on the light bar and listen to the wonky sound the siren then makes. smile

Doesn’t really make sense that shooting out lights changes the siren, but still funny.
