As they did with Grand Theft Auto, Rockstar has made GTA2 available as a free download.

Click on the word 'download'  biggrin

I haven't been able to get to it to grab - the submit button bounces you to a server's IP address - 63.236.94.185, but no luck for me so far.

i've had the problem prices.  it bounces back for me too.  perhaps the server to grab this is getting hammered too much to get through.

yay, its a ddos attack by gta fans!

when GTA was released it got slashdotted.  This one I got in an email, but I figured I could get it some other time.

BTW, the updated GTA ran like ass; it was always stuttering, the sound didnt seem to work too good, and it was a bummer.  I still have the original GTA cd around somewhere, so if I need to get my DMA Design on, I can always whip that badboy out.

I eventually got it. They just didn't expect many people would want it.

That's good news.  I personally enjoyed the GTA series more when it was just the simple overhead shooter.  I never got into the GTA3, VC, or SA craze.
