GT Community: Pick your favorite console game of 2011

Hey guys and gals, I know we have another thread going for GOTY votes but we need an official thread because we're going to be doing an article about it.

Now that the last few decent titles have been released, throw in your single vote for best console game of the year. We'll simply tally up the majority and pick the winner. Nothing too fancy, we won't be going into specific genres or categories. We just wanna know what the majority of you felt was the best game this year.

Also, if you include your reason for why it's your choice, and that game is chosen, we may quote you in the article.

Skrim for me as well.  I haven't been as engrossed in a game world like I have been with this one. 

runner up would be DEHR for the same reason, but it didn't hold my attention as long as I expected it to.

MAG (PS3)

I've never spent as much time with any game on any platform as I have MAG. How many other FPS's give you 128vs128 online battles in real-time? (For free, at that.)

I was thinking Skyrim but I didn't play it on console and the CTDs are pissing me off so I will say Arkham City instead.

Thinking back, inFamous 1, or Forza. It's just too bad I never make time for Forza. I got inFamous with my PSN apology and really enjoyed it. inFamous2 was good, but much more bland than I'd have liked it to be. I also enjoyed me some TDU2. Batman was great but fell short of the most fun as I found in a console game. I'd also put Bastion up there as well as Outland and ITSP.

I'd throw Portal 2 or Skyrim in the mix, but those were PC experiences for me.

dark souls

a special one in a year of some good games.  i wanted to put some time in skyrim before i tossed this up (as skyrim was probably my most anticipated game) and i can tell after a few hours that while ill enjoy it, it will never put quite the smile on my face that DS did.  ds id bog down at one intense boss for a night, or slog through a single area for hours and it was glee the entire time.  then id go back and do it all again.  i can tell skyrim will grow on me, but right now i sometimes feel its a chore to complete one quest even knowing there are ten thousand more i could be doing instead

Considering I played most of the big games on the PC this year (Skyrim, Batman, BF3, etc), I would have to go with Driver: San Francisco as my favorite console game.  It may not be as technically proficient as Forza, but for pure fun it doesn't get much better.
