I admit it: I'm a sucker for a well-made trailer, and when a game company gets one just right, it grabs my attention better than any other sort of preview.  Here's a few of my favorites:

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

Homeworld 2

Lost Odyssey

Gears of War

The Sims 3

Fallout 3

Finally, Halo 2 not only had a great prerelease teaser, but also that 9-minute long demo showcasing a level that, unfortunately, never appeared in the final game.

Any others I missed?

This I think is by far my favorite video game trailer I've ever seen.

I actually thought the Halo 3 Announcement trailer is incredibly well done.  We continue to use that as a demonstration for our surround sound system, and when the ship hidden in the ground starts to open you feel the rumble in your chest while you can hear ships flying from behind into view.  The music, the overwhelming scale, the animation, the detail, it all makes for a kick-ass trailer.

The extended Resident Evil 5 trailer. It's a bit spoilerific, but if you don't get a boner from watching that, you're either a girl or not the target audience.  icon_biggrin

Opening cinema from METAL GEAR SOLID 2: SONS OF LIBERTY

I used to just turn on the game and let it loop over, and over, and over...

+1 to this and it always makes me a little sad they stopped with the classic theme for 3/4 (although they are good, it's not the same.) frown

i loved the music from the last pop game using this song.  great song i would not likely ever heard again.

I loved this Shadow Hearts Covenant trailer, complete with "movie guy" voice.

Not so much a trailer but I was always partial to the intro of Onimusha 3.

Did not really care for the game though.

Lost Odyssey  - JRPG FMVs with White Rabbit playing in the background seems incongruous at first, but after you watch it a few times, it works perfectly.  It obviously took inspiration from the Gears of War trailer, but I liked this one even better.  I rarely watch trailers more than once, but I've watched LO's dozens of times.
