I did two of the main heists that have featured heavily in previews and videos.  damn these were a lot of fun.  I think I've enjoyed more of V's missions by this point than I did in all of IV.   thumbsup

its worth doing the little missions from strangers on the street

I chased after a guy who stole a bicycle and got it back to its owner....
Spoiler for Hiden:
A few days later he sent me an email saying he was owner of Animal Ark and he has put 100k on the stock market for me,the stocks went up a bit and eventually i made about 120k from him when i sold my shares

Chased a guy who had stolen a car, when i got it back to its owner, she said that she would be in touch..
Spoiler for Hiden:
A few days later it turns out that she is the owner of a top clothes shop, and i she said that she has put a new suit in my wardrobe at home(if it doesn't fit,its the thought that counts she says)

this was the suit

only gotten one heist so far, so far all the missions involving all three of the guys seem to force me to switch instead of the on the fly switching that has been mentioned.

of the two I mentioned, one was mixed with Franklin and Michael active at one time, the other had all three and allowed me to switch at any time throughout a gunfight.  it was pretty damn cool and spoke to how much you could do with the characters.

Don't read the following unless you have bought the Trevor property on the northwest corner of the island, the property with the sub, and played the resulting mission. It will definitely spoil it for you....

Spoiler for Hiden:
OMG what a tedious mission!!! I've collected about half of the nuclear waste drums and I've been at it over an hour. I'm tempted to quit, but I am the completionist type, so I guess I'll go through with all of the slow as molasses mission  Roll Eyes

And the result...
Spoiler for Hiden:
I finally finished the mission, over two hours icon_neutral. I only had to find 29 of the 30 drums, Michael had found one earlier. And I was a bit pissed when I abandoned the sub near the shore and found I was wearing scuba gear. I would have liked to leave the sub earlier while getting the drums to look at other stuff I found underwater.

It cost ten grand, but it's worth it to see Trevor in a tux:

And since I'm pimping up Trevor, he need a place to own, Pitchers. Don't quite know how a place that costs $750,000 and returns only $7,100 a week is supposed to be a good deal, but whatever.

And with his new status Trevor needs a better ride, like this Pegassi Infernus:

As of right now my game time totals are 15.5 hours for Franklin, 12 hours for Trevor and 11 hours for Michael. 38.5 in total if my math is good. Slowly approaching that $1/hour payback rate.

Beware!  It seems that there is a bug that will eat customized and purchased cars occasionally (I think if you don't carefully garage them when you leave them).

Microtransactions confirmed
EDIT: Actually,Its not been properly confirmed its originally from a source on EG

Quote
in-game cash packs are available in four denominations: a $100,000 Red Shark Cash Card costing £1.99 in real money, a $200,000 Tiger Shark Cash Card priced at £3.49, a $500,000 Bull Shark Cash Card costing £6.99, and a $1,250,000 Great White Shark Cash Card priced at £13.49.

Quote
While GTA Online and GTA 5 share a game world, prices for in-game items reportedly vary between the two. A car priced at $1 million in GTA 5 can supposedly be purchased for around $150,000 in GTA Online. The most expensive GTA Online property is relatively inexpensive at $400,000 and players can only own a single home at a time.

But weapon and car mods are more expensive in GTA Online, the report adds, with most initially out of normal financial reach and only accessible once characters have ranked up. In the beginning, players only have the option to buy pistols and one car.

I haven't really bothered with mods yet, probably should go look.  I take it once you buy a mod for a particular vehicle you don't have to buy it again?

anyone else hit by the mod bug?  I got in and didn't switch to Franklin at all.

My summary from last night.  As Trevor, I took a cheating husband out from LS to hang out with my "friends" in the mountains.  took an infernus up there and man that's a crazy car to take rally style.  after listening to him talk, I wasn't conflicted at all about where I dumped him off.  after heading out north, I ran across a burning wreck along the freeway and met a new driver for my crew.  then I tracked down one of the bond jumpers.  fun times.

did a mission as Michael and got my hands on a heli.  flew under a handful of bridges while coming to grips with the heli controls.  it was like flying a handkerchief in a hurricane.  landed on top of MT Chiliad and made a half-assed attempt to ride a motorbike down the mountain and parachute off.  that didn't go so well and bounced off a rock with my head.

Well, no more GTAV for me for a week, we're off on another trip. It's ok, I've put in about forty hours and I'm a bit burned out. Supposedly by the percent complete I'm two-thirds done with the game (or is it the campaign?). I'm reaching that same point I reached in GTASA and GTA4 where I need to stop because I'm beginning to not pay attention to the story and instead just grind out the missions.

I won't be back till the 5th, so would you folks please deal with all the server crashes and other problems when GTAV Online goes live? Thanks, I appreciate it  icon_biggrin
