He's 11, not 1 and he's way too young to be playing games like GTA 5, even if we don't consider the age rating on the box.

Great parenting!

What kind of pussy cat cries when he gets a game? He's got a lot of manning up to do if he ever wants to be like the characters in his murder simulator.  Oh yeah, and I had no idea GTA5 was rated PG-11.

the saga of 'when can US PSN users download this?' continues.

first, it says this:

Quote
Grand Theft Auto V will be available for download on the US PlayStation Store starting at 12AM Eastern Time this Tuesday, 9/17

so, what about the 3am announcement that happened about 7 hours earlier?  a bit further down Rockstar tweets in with:

Quote
the earlier announcement was incorrect.

so, it's back to no pre-load.  or is it?  stay tuned!

Rockstar "investigating" GTA V early sales.  if found guilty they shall give the retailers a stern look and one hell of a finger wagging.

This new game should be a very interesting experience now that I live in the LA area and have visited most of those areas in person.

The title is officially due for release on Tuesday but online retailer Amazon has already dispatched copies of the game, much to the delight of consumers, who have been posting images to social networking sites Instagram and Twitter.

Well, Amazon hasn't dispatched my copy of the game, it still shows "not yet shipped". This is the first time I've used Amazon for a Day One delivery. It may be the last if they don't come through. On the other hand, if it becomes a Day Zero delivery...  icon_biggrin

I use Amazon Prime for release-day shipping all the time and have never had a problem.  I wouldn't worry until it's Tuesday morning and you still have no update.  smile

yeah, they know UPS transit times, and if it is shipping from a nearby warehouse that'll get it to you next day they won't ship until the day before release.  you should see a shipping notice tomorrow.  if not blame blame him  /\ /\ /\ /\  biggrin

Yeah, I was wondering about that. Amazon told me if I wanted the game on release day I should select two day shipping. They are promising delivery by 8pm on the 17th, but it would seem that this would mean they are shipping today. I guess it's just the way they assign things.

And my wife had scheduled haircuts for us on Tuesday afternoon. Apparently she doesn't understand my emphasis on Tuesday my being busy all day.

OK, I got Caine's friends request on the Rockstar Social Club and because somehow my nickname got screwed up I'm now jztemple2 there instead of just plain jztemple. Whatever Roll Eyes.

My Amazon shipping status has been upgraded to "Shipping Now".  Cabbage Patch

UPDATE: Damn, I just found out I've been a Rockstar Social Club Member since April 18, 2008. I must pay more attention to these things.

Rockstar have just warned for optimal performance on the Xbox 360

-Install Disc 1(we knew this, this disc wont be touched again after the install)

-DO NOT Install disc 2(just play from this disc they say)
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-09-16-rockstar-warns-dont-install-gta5-xbox-360-play-disc

Quote
Rockstar has warned Xbox 360 gamers not to install the Grand Theft Auto 5 "play" disc.

On Xbox 360 the openworld game comes on two discs: one mandatory "install" disc and one "play" disc, both around 8GB in size. It's a similar situation to Forza 4, which also shipped on two discs on Xbox 360.

Prospective GTA5 owners - some of which already have the game as a result of early shipping from Amazon.co.uk - might have wanted to install both discs, but Rockstar recommends against it.

"For optimal performance, we recommend not installing that disc," tweeted Rockstar Support.

Then, "An 8GB install is required. For optimal performance, we recommend not installing the play disc."

Rockstar has promised more information soon. For now, the upshot is, with GTA5 on Xbox 360, you have to install disc one but run disc two from the drive.

I am hoping they can sort that out soon,as i want to install disc 2,i always want to install the discs i am playing
