Holy crap, I'll actually be around for a weekend and might (gasp) actually get some gaming time!  Becoming more and more of a rarity these days, I'm afraid.

Started up a Dragon Age Inquisition replay as a female elven ranger.  Not sure I'm entirely sold on ranged combat yet, but we'll see.  Also been feeling the pull of Diablo III again...might be time for yet another go at it.

I'm going to finish Mad Max. I've wavered back and forth between 100%ing everything, just clearing the territories, or just finishing the game. I've gotten to the point that I'm just frustrated and bored with it, so the latter is the route I'm going. I believe I'm on the last if not very close to the last story quest, so it should be doable.

I'm also strongly considering picking up Guitar Hero Live after my initial reservations. Sounds like people are having fun with it, and that the "Live" portion is more entertaining than it sounded on paper. Best Buy has it on sale for $80, which means with my GCU membership I could get the game + guitar for $64, which sounds like a great deal to me.

In board game related gaming, we're going to break out Robinson Crusoe & The Cursed Island this weekend and try to knock out a couple of scenarios. We've beaten 3 of the 6 to date, I believe.

I have benched Mad Max as I am not close to finishing it up and every time I play, I end up just roaming the wasteland like an obsessive nanny, picking up every last piece of scrap on my way, until I stop and realize I didn't get anything significant done.

I have and will continue to put time in with Rebel Galaxy as that game's progression feeds my inner Jefferson's impulse (movin on up) with better ships and harder missions.  I have one more tier of weapons and equipment to go for and about 3-4 of the upper class ships, plus some unknown number of missions in the main campaign.  It's really pulled me away from both Mad Max and MGS as I expect to actually be able to finish it without a laundry list of activities to check off before I do.

I've been firing up MXGP and getting into that when not dealing with family that's in town visiting.

Diablo III now and in the event I get some extra time, I'm still plowing through Uncharted 1.

Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth (which totally glitched out when loading the save file from the base game and gave me a few achievements i had never earned due to their incredible difficulty, including Godhead and The Real Platinum God)

also Painkiller HD, Spelunky and Besiege

Since the weekend's almost over, I'll recap quickly:

Did wind up picking up Guitar Hero Live after my daughter played the demo in the store and loved it. There is a setting where you don't have to hit any notes, just strum in time to the song, and she was really good at it.

The game's really good and I've been enjoying the new control scheme. I used to play Rock Band on Expert, but I had to work my way up on GH Live. I am now fairly proficient on the level one up from Standard difficulty, but nowhere near ready to do the hardest level.

The soundtrack isn't really my cup of tea, and I didn't recognize the majority of the songs. On the other hand, they've all been really fun to play, even when I wasn't familiar with them. The good news is that this weekend they unlocked free play for everyone, so I've been able to check out a lot of songs I do know on-demand that are in the Live channel rotation.

I am glad that I didn't go for Rock Band instead. Learning the new control scheme has been the real fun of this game, and I think if I had gone with RB's familiar controls it's possible I would have gotten bored of it quickly. I can already tell that I just don't have the patience or stamina for the long sessions I used to play with RB/GH.

I made good progress in Dragon Age, up to level 10 and getting to Skyhold.   thumbsup

I played a bunch of Rebel Galaxy, but didn't beat it. Keep getting distracted by new equipment and ships I need to buy.  Already started on the last tier of weapons and upgraded my ship.

I also played a chunk of 7 Days to Die and it really scratches the open world zombie and crafting itch.  If they can improve the combat it will be great
