somehow I've ended up with 800 wii points in my account, not sure exactly how but they must have been there for awhile.  what's out that's worth 800 points?  I've got Super metroid and legend of Zelda so far, and Ocarina of Time will be a 3DS purchase, so what is a OMG must have purchase?

Well, you've come to the right place for this.

If you had 1200 Wii Points I would say Cave Story, but you don't, so I won't. Do you like Sega Genesis games? Because Shining Force 2 is on there and it's a very good strategy RPG. Aside from that, the usual: Donkey Kong Country 1 & 2 are fun (don't get 3, it sucks) and Super Mario World is, of course, a classic.

ooo, forgot about Donkey Kong Country.  I think I'll get that one tonight.  I played a bunch of Super Mario World on the demo machines in various stores when they were selling the SNES, but I always preferred DKC.  thanks Eel!

Oh! Also, don't forget about Kirby Super Star, if you like Kirby games at all. It's one of the best ones they made and it's 2-player coop capable.

To each their own. DKC's a great choice.

DKC is without a doubt one of the best games I own from the VC, but you'll want to play it with a Classic controller. Another outstanding game that comes in at 800 pts is the Sega Genesis game Gunstar Heroes.
