I thought i posted this once and I guess I didnt.

What are some good war simulations.  I was a big fan of Wargames as a kid (Played Johnny Rebel, Panzer General, Combined Arms, etc.).  I enjoyed Cossaks for what it was and am looking for a few decent strategy war games in any era.

No AOE or Civ please, I play them enough as it is, lol.

So if you guys know of some decent ones, please let me know, thanks.

Eagerly awaiting Drakes Fortune 2...

There's the Total War series, each one also has realism mods for them that increase the realism.

No doubt others here can let you know about some of the better hex-based and sim-oriented games.

-HPS makes a few, like the 'Squad Battles' series.
I particularly like the Vietnam-era ones.

-Then there's War in the Pacific, from Matrix, for your naval wargame itch (along with the older Uncommon Valor)

-Combat Mission series.

These are just a few. Maybe if dbt or JeffV stops by they can recommend more
