Looks like in a recent 1up podcast, it was noted that the new shader that's being written for the PS3 version which upgrades the visuals is also going to be released as an update for the 360 version of the game. icon_biggrin Makes me happy, since I already own it on the 360!

Normally I ignore anything Joystiq posts, but since it's from the 1up podcast, I have a little more faith in it. Of course, Joystiq had to go and rant further by rumormongering that the downloadable content won't be available on the PS3 version; from what I've read elsewhere, that was taken from an out-of-context statement and it's just a matter of time until it can work out fine on the Playstation Network store, so the PS3 fans won't have to go without the updates (many of which are great additions to the game).

Well, it's the same source for both- the inability to do some of the downloadable content and the fact that the 360 version will be patched.  It was on last week's 1Up Show.

this is good news,i am a big fan of oblivion and am currently waiting for the shimmering isles download that i think is to be next month

its a shame that the horse armour download came out, because it does seem to be the butt of the jokes all the time, when really oblivion has had the best downloads for any game, and they have been great editions to the game

I wish there was a patch that allowed hard disk caching as an option that can be turned on in-game.

Damn, if I were on a faster internet connection I'd go google an "Owned" image. But since I am on a slow connection, I'll have to do with just text.

I was referring to the performance increase that PC verison has. You are correct though, I was pwnd. I do recall having to clear the cache during startup, so it was also a lapse of memory coupled with gross incompetence. biggrin

Do we think this'll come at the same time as Shivering Isles?  If not, I doubt I'll get to experience it much.
