So, now that I have a computer that's good, but not great, I'm looking for games that I can use to push it a little, just for fun.  I have Call of Duty 2, Titan Quest, Civ 4, Pirates!, and Oblivion.  What other games came out that I've missed?

I second Dawn of War.  I'm in the same boat with an old computer and it runs smooth.  In addition, there is tons of content between the original plus two expansions (another expansion is on the way as well if it floats your boat).  However, it is not too taxing for a mid-grade computer if that's what you are looking for, in my opinion.  Titan Quest was more taxing that Dawn of War on my computer.

I'm not huge into real-time strategy games.  The only one I've ever really liked was Rise Of Nations because I could pause the action at any time, which I used liberally until I got accustomed to the game.  Is there something like that in Dawn Of War?

You can pause in Dawn of War.  Wow, your question is hurting my brain.

Orange Box
Painkiller Black
games from Introversion - Darwinia, Uplink, Defcon
SWAT 4
FEAR
Tron 2.0
Galactic Civilizations II
Company of Heroes
STALKER
Heroes of Might and Magic V
Prey
Medieval: Total War II
Thief: Deadly Shadows
Riddick
Freedom Force I and II
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Pyschonauts
Prince of Persia

I am tired now.

So, so many. Do not know where to start.

Company of Heroes is one that immediately comes to mind. Call of Duty 4. Beer Goggles list, etc.

I've got TRON 2.0.  That game rules.

Heroes of Might and Magic V was good?  Maybe I'm just confused by how many bad Heroes games there were.

IV mostly sucked, V is actually pretty good. icon_wink

WoW?

WoW Battlechest (WoW + Expansion) is also on GoGamer.  At $20 it's a steal.

Oof.  No MMORPGs.  No way I'm paying money every month to play a game that I already bought.  Just not my thing.

What about the last Guild War games?  No monthly fees and the last few got really good reviews.

+ 1 for Orange Box

HL2 has got to be one of the most scaleable games I've ever played. I originally ran it on a AMD 1.8 w/GeForce 5700 & 1Gb RAM and got decent results. I then ran it on my AMD 3.2 w/GeForce 7600 & 1Gb RAM with all settings maxed and it looked really nice.
Farcry is another game that will look very good on a low - medium spec'd PC.
