Does the game look good enough to warrant a pre-order?  I ask only because Outpost has it on sale for $38 + shipping if you pre-order.

Outpost link here.  Note that they often don't ship on release day -- it can take up to a week after its release for a game to ship.

The verdict is still out.  The game hasn't gotten enough press coverage.

I posted about the game earilier, but with no response.

From the screenshots and videos, the game doesn't look too special, but I'll wait for a rental before I buy.

I doubt this game will make many waves... the original Goldeneye was so notable because it was the first really well done console FPS.  But since then Halo has more or less stolen that particular distinction, and I doubt Rogue Agent has a chance of topping or even matching Halo 2.  It may very well be a good game in it's own right, but simply being a sequel to Goldeneye doesn't mean a whole lot nowadays.

You also have to note that this game has absolutely NO relation to the original Goldeneye, other than in name. It's also named so, not because of the goldeneye weapon from the movie of the same name, but because the main character has a goldeneye.

On paper it sounds neat, the movies looked somewhat cool, but it doesn't look as fun as Everything or Nothing is.

I'm waiting for reviews and word-of-mouth on this one.  After the slew of mediocre to crappy Vietnam shooters I'm a little catious.
