For those who remember, Goldeneye for the N64 was one of the best FPS shooters for the console, in both single player and multiplayer.

It's only recently been topped by Halo 1 and 2 combined, but only by a narrow margin.

This is basically a new game using the same name (for marketing purposes) and a few similar mechanics (Like FPS perspective, etc...).

Oh, and you play a villian.  Where the Goldeneye comes in for this game is that you were given a mechanical "goldeneye" to replace one you recently lost.  It's a gadget of its own.

So anyone heard anything good about the game?

The original Goldeneye was a blast in multiplayer split screen.  My friends and I always played in One Shot Kills mode.  It worked well in the game since aiming wasn't entirely precise like current FPS games (no dual thumbsticks), so firefights became very intense matches where suppression fire really worked.
