Yep, tears were shed.

Wait...no.  Not so much.

The horrible audio mixes in 5.1 and 7.1 from the demo persist on the retail release.  Lots of audio dropping out and out of sync also.  From a quick glance on the interwebs, there are quite a few people experiencing the same.  Really takes away from the experience.

Graphics are out of this world though.  Kratos has never looked so good.

Funny, there's a menu option for "early access" to The Last of Us demo. I kinda figured early would mean like... now. However, it just brings up a countdown timer that tells me early access starts in 78 days.  D'oh!

Yea, I called that out in my demo.  This seems to be a common thing on the PS3.  I'm not sure if it's streaming from the BluRay or if it's issues with the hardware, or some blend of both, but it happens often enough to be fairly platform-specific.

I don't know about the audio dropping, but the mix is just plain bad.  God of War 3 didn't sound like this.
