5. Will there be a demo in the Marketplace soon, so we can experience the beauty of this game for ourselves in high-definition?

Can't wait to see what kind of reaction this is going to get.

I find that puzzling, though, because Kevin Grey posted something about it being delayed until September.  If by "soon" they mean by March, that's still half a year before it gets released and to me, that seems weird.

Nah, it was Splinter Cell that was delayed to September, not Ghost Recon.

Yeah, but "soon" could still mean anything and probably doesn't mean before the weekend, which is what my brain hears.

9th for Xbox and 360, 30th for PC and PS2.  Those are solid dates.

I just watched the GT (gametrailers) Multiplayer Interview.

Link to Page

It does look pretty good.  Especially the 5 second blurb in the middle of the interview where he brings up the overhead tactical map.

I may have to change my negativity toward this game.

Can't freaking WAIT!! I am 99% sure I will get this on 360 for maximum graphics for me, decent control, and the ease of live use. I think. Maybe I will get it on PC later when cheaper if there is a big contingent here that wants to play it on that system, but it will just look better on the 360 I think.

Let's not forget that four player split screen co-op mode on the 360.  Brings a new meaning to inviting your friends over for a trip to Mexico.  slywink

Listening to the new Major Nelson podcast last night, he mentioned that this demo would be on Live about a week before the game ships.

Yep, I have decided.  If the game is just average, I will get it for the x360 so I can play with family.

If the game is great, I will get it for the PC, since it will dominate my time and I need the finer control of keyboard and mouse.

Hmm, the next 3 months will bring...

(1) Ghost Recon
(2) GalCiv II
(3) College Hoops 2k6
(4) MLB 2k6
(5) Oblivion

This is just not going to work...   :?

FWIW, the 360 version and PC versions are different.  At a minimum I know the PC game is First Person view only but I think there are some other changes as well.

Hmm. This is interesting. A list of the differences would be helpful in deciding what to buy.

Can I take a guess?

The PC version will be for real people who enjoyed the original Ghost Recon made way back in 1999.   The xbox version will be for 12 year olds on stims, and will require a leet speak access code to play online.

I'll check into the PC / PS2 stuff, but first I'm just going to test out my new printer.  How's it look?  Clear quality?

Hmm ok thanks KD, but thats XBox to 360, not PC to 360. Still some interesting information. Perhaps XBox stats are the same as PC? Either way, I just think the graphics, smooth framerate, HD resolution and live options are so tempting. Shit, if I dont like it, I can trade it in in a few weeks and get the PC version smile
