Problem solved

Done and Done.

As far as the PS2 release / Shanghai version is concerned; I don't care about it (as I can really only afford so much time for games) ... the Xbox / Red Storm release will do me fine.
The fact that the PS2 will be using the Unreal Engine and the Havok physics rather than the proprietary GR2 engine doesn't impress me one bit. Once a Tango is down, he's down. I don't need to shoot his body

. I'm guessing they're going with the Unreal & Havok engines to circumvent having to develop the game any further than necessary; they have a relatively short timeline 'till market release.
The only thing the Shanghai office has ever released that impressed me was the SC:PT multiplayer game. ( I believe it was them) The single player was on more obvious rails than the first Splinter Cell .... hell, at least Panzer Dragoon Orta had branching paths (and it was built for rails). The next logical step for SC was a less linear path to reach the mission destination; Ubi Shanghai missed the boat on that one.
