GBA games on gamecube?

I'm sure nintendo has some kind of product that lets you play gba games on a gamecube, right?

I do not have a gba, because I don't really need another console. But I'm an old school player, and I love 2D games. Games like Mario, or Castlevania, or gradius-type games, or anything side-scrolling with pretty 2d graphics and jumping in it !

But they don't make those games anymore it seems... So now I'm thinking, maybe I can play some gba classics on my gamecube, since they are still 2D...

Good idea? Any game recommendations if this is possible?

Anything nostalgic will be good (I had a nintendo 8bit and 16bit)

You want the GBA player accessory, which plugs into the bottom of the Gamecube, has a game boy cartridge slot, and comes with a disk that you put into the Gamecube when you play gameboy games.  It works pretty well, but it does run about $50 so it's no small investment.

If you have plans of buying a GBA, then the player accessory is absolutely worth it if you want to play some of the best 2D games available today.

Yoshi's Island, Metroid Fusion, Metroid Zero, Zelda, Saberwulf, Astro Boy, the Castlevania series, the Super Mario series, the list just goes on and on... there is much 2D goodness to be found!
