So Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows ships today (12/12).  Anyone else interested in this one?  Apparently it's supposed to be more like Dark Alliance than the other recent Gauntlet games, which is a step in the right direction imo...

I'm actually getting very interested in this game lately the more I read about the direction it's taking.  And that's saying something, since I initially had next to no interest in this one.  slywink  I still wouldn't mind what would amount to essentially an update to the first "current gen" Gauntlet that came out back during the N64/Dreamcast time, but this is looking really interesting.

Either it is now, or will be very soon.  The devs and MS aren't foolish enough to miss the fact that the 360 needs such a game to play on the 360.  It's one of the genres of game that wasn't covered by the release titles, and won't be covered for a long while.

Reviews aren't looking good - 5.2 from Gamespot and 2/5 from Yahoo Games.

The guys on Attack of the Show even panned this game.  Said that it basically sucked in their First 50 segment.

Darn, I was hoping this wouldn't suck, but it looks like I was wrong.  I might rent it anyway just for the heck of it... I'm such a sucker for Gauntlet...

Too bad, I was vagulely hopeful that it wouldn't suck since  IIRC J.E. Sawyer did some writing on the game.

I had a bad feeling when both Sawyer and Romero bolted months ago.  Look's like the early reviews are very poor.

yeah, i know - however, had romero simply passed by the general vicinity of the studio at some point during development, i'd've become hesitant about the project...

Looks like someone needed to tell the devs making the exact same button smasher gameplay 20 years later with just updated graphics doesn't warrent dropping $50. You might as well just pay $5 to get the origional on XBL and play with friends.
