We are going to do what so many other sites SHOULD do - let the public decide what is the best PC title of the year. I'd like everyone to post their top 5 in this thread. We'll cut that list down and create polls to declare our winners. This isn't a time to argue about anyone elses choice, so if you think Barbie 12 Dancing Princesses is your GOTY, just toss it in here. We'll laugh, but that is your vote.

The 360 has really pulled me in so my PC game time ws greatly reduced this year. I'm mixed about putting Oblivion on the list. As amazing as the rest of the game is the scaled leveling system really killed my enjoyment.

i probably played better stuff than some of those but heck if I can recall what I played now. Those came into myhead so they get chosen.

The US version of Space Rangers 2 came out this year. Thus why it has made it to many PC GoTY lists on other sites. I think it's fair game.

I would say NWN2, but so far it hasn't seemed to recapture the magic. But then again, I've been too caught up in my DS gaming to play many PC games.

1) Titan Quest - first Diablo-like game to actually give me about as much fun as Diablo/Diablo 2.  2) Galactic Civilizations 2 - I really wanted to like the original game, but just never could get into it. Fortunately, the sequel was everything I'd hoped it would be and more. Outstanding game and outstanding support from Stardock. And that's it for me. I haven't played anything else new on the pc that I would want to put on my GOTY list. |

I would add Titan Quest here if only because of the time sink it was but the damn thing was buggy as hell for a loooong time. It's hard to pick a title as GOTY material when it routinely hard locked my machine, which is another reason why I'm leaving Oblivion off the list. Well, that and it wasn't fun until the mod community got involved. :slywink:

1. Space Rangers 2 (I love this game, I wish more games were mostly turn based like this) 2. Star Wars: Empire at War (Captures the feel of Star Wars space battles, didn't like the ground combat. Wished it had more elements of Rebellion ( planets can switch sides through diplomacy)). That's it. I only purchased TWO PC games this year. Thats an ALL time low.  It just shows how my Xbox 360 has dominated my gaming life. Right now I am totally fine with that. |
