Are these rankings of the most anticipated? If so, wow that Tomb Raider ranks in only at 10th behind 2 PS3 exclusives and a WiiU and PC exclusive. I've seen nothing but heaps of interest in that game on sites across the Internet. It's certainly in my top 3.

It's actually ordered by release date.

Thanks! Ron and I spent a good week writing everything out, and Mike put together the slideshow bit. I think it turned out nicely.

It was interesting to play the "Interested/Not Interested" game while going through that slideshow. Sadly, there were only 4 games on the list that are "must haves" with another 2-3 "maybes".

just a heads up: the Prey 2 description seems to be cut off: 49. Prey 2 [PC, PS3, 360]
Somewhere around my place I have a copy of PC Gamer that had a cover for one of the many false-start painful moments in 3D Realms history. Despite a decade of development, somehow 2K Games and Human Head Studios managed to pull a coherent product together that was actually fun to play. Featuring a portal system that could make you puke through your eye sockets with vertigo, the game hit the sci-fi sweetspot and featured the first memorable Native American character that wasn’t tripping over himself with tropes and stereotypes. With the first title well-received, Human Head and 3D Realms set out to co-produce a sequel, but with a new publisher - Bethesda. This new title will be open-world and kicks off the story of a new character - U.S. Marshall Killian Samuels. Samuels, experiencing a plot point straight out of the sci-fi movie Millennium, is pulled through some sort of rift, crashing into the Sphere (you see this as a side-note in the the first Prey title). Rather than telling the story of the marooned Marshall at length, the game instead pushes us forward a few years. Samuels has accepted his place on the world of Exodus and has taken a role as a bounty hunter. The early demo we saw featured some awesome parkour, a few cool gameplay elements that allowed the player some flexibility on how they prosecute bounties, and a pretty rock-solid graphic engine. Ok, and now the bad news...this game has fallen into development Hell. While nobody is officially saying the game is cancelled, it does look like it might have succumbed to the delay-as-normal 3D Realms curse. Could this be #26 on the list of cancelled 3D Realms games? With the potential I saw...I sincerely hope not. the bolded part isn't showing up for me in either Firefox 18.0.1 or IE 9; I had to highlight and then copy the text to see it.

Will Buy: Gears of War: Judgment. Only must have game of 2013 for me at this point. Gears and Mass Effect are slugging it out in my heart for best IP of this generation... Wasteland 2
Maybe:
Last of Us: i've seen snippets of it, but love post apoc. And trust in Naughty Dog (even though i never played UC3) Bioshock Infinite: Just can't seem to get up for this game at all. God of War Ascension: Still need to play GOWIII Company of Heroes: I really enjoyed the first, but don't know that this is a priority to me right now.
Bears further investigation:
Watch Dogs- Such high concept stuff rarely turns out to be that fun to play. SW 1313- Oh yeah. Very intriguing. Likely move to must buy. Xenonauts- XCOM!
Thanks for the article. Had no idea what was coming out this year.

Wow, this must have taken quite a bit of time to put together. It's a very good list. The games I'm really looking forward to are: - South Park: The Stick of Truth - Castlevania: Mirror of Truth - Shadowrun Returns - Grand Theft Auto V - Beyond: Two Souls - Dark Souls 2 - Star Wars: 1313 - Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 - Watch Dogs It's actually more than I had expected. Then again, I fully expect several of the other titles on that list to blow me away when they're released. I rarely read previews any more, so I tend to get surprised by new releases. By the way, you forgot Wasteland 2. That's probably the one game I'm looking forward to the most. A little nitpick with the slideshow viewer: The arrows are too small and finicky. Several times I ended up missing them and clicking on the picture, which brought up a new window. They are also hard to see if you're not specifically looking for them. This kind of slideshow needs to be a bit more obvious, which I guess the comments above shows.

Went back through...there were actually less than I thought on my "want" list:
Will get for sure - Ni No Kuni - God of War - Bioshock
Possibly, if reviews are really good - Sly Cooper - FF XII: Lightning Returns (this one is leaning towards "no", but we'll see) - Dark - Elder Scrolls Online - Last Guardian

Nice list. It will be interesting to me to see what I go for this year as only GTA-V seemed a must buy for my tastes. I'm sure there will be others on the list I end up with.

Wasteland 2.
Wait . What?!Seriously? You haven't heard about it? What rock have you been living under? It's one of the biggest Kickstarters yet, the second to score big after Double Fine Adventure. They've been working on it for a while and making great progress (writing finished back in November, I think), and it's featuring some really impressive names, both when it comes to writers and level designers. This is going to be the game everyone has been waiting for since Fallout 2. A gameplay video is supposed to come out this month. Here's the Kickstarter page for the game.

I thought Wasteland 2 was a 2014 release now, but I could be mistaking it with something else. Must buys out of the list: Star Wars 1313 Grand Theft Auto 5 Bioshock Infinite Watch Dogs Shadowrun Returns Wasteland 2 State of Decay (not on the list) Possible buys at some point when the price is right: Ni No Kuni Sly Cooper 4 Tomb Raider Dragon Age 3 Crysis 3 SimCity South Park Prey 2 SC2: Heart of the Swarm Lightning Returns Company of Heroes 2 Metro: Last Light Splinter Cell: Black List Double Fine Adventure Remember Me LEGO Marvel Superheroes LEGO City Undercover great list, although I hear Nintendo is going to announce some stuff today/tomorrow that may add to it

Lots of PS3 exclusives on the list, some WiiU as well. Only saw Gears of War as a 360 only game. No Vita games on the list either, hmmm.

Nothing on that list makes me go "OMG OMG why isn't it out already!!". I think that's a good thing. There's lots of potential for a few of those games to surprise and far exceed expectations.

Awesome preview! A lot of must buys for me (Dragon Age 3, Elder Scrolls Online) but nothing like last year (Diablo 3, GW2 and Torchlight 2) where it was titles I'd been waiting so many years for. The good news is much less chance for major disappointment or letdown.
