Dragon Quest IV - DS - Great remake, I never played the original, but it appears to have held up very nicely!
Pokemon Pearl - DS - I finished the story mode in the past, but I finally now have accomplished a bigger goal for the first time in any Pokemon game: completing the Pokedex. Granted, it's only the Sinnoh pokedex, but that's the "real" ending of the game and unlocks the full post-story game.

• Forza 2 (off and on when I get the racing craving as I still have a number of the longer races to complete, but I don't know if I'll ever truly complete this game as there are just too many races)
• Madden 2009 (I'll consider it complete when I win the Super Bowl)
• Far Cry 2 (And so grows the started but not completed game list)
• Fable 2 (I can't believe I waited so long to play this game - it is currently taking up all of my gaming time, and could perhaps become the next game I finish)

FINISHED IN 2009
-  LocoRoco 2 (Feb 21) - B+:  This one came completely out of left field and turned out to be an absolutely fantastic little game.   Incredibly innovative, creative, and just plain fun.  No timer, but probably around 8 hours.
-  Fallout 3 (April 19) - B+: While FO3 was good, I couldn't quite shake the feeling that it was Oblivion with a post-apocalyptic skin.   Still, VATS was fun, and the story was very well told.  A solid game.  About 40 hours.
-  Valkyrie Profile:  Covenant of the Plume (April 26) - C:  So much wasted potential in this game.  They had some good ideas, but they ended up wasted on poor execution.  About 13 hours.
-  Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2 (April 26 - not a typo) - A:  After nearly 90 hours, I finally got around to wrapping this one up.  Brilliant game, just like all the FFT games have been.  Nothing in the way of story, but actual gameplay might be my favorite of the series.  Just wish they could combine FFTA2 gameplay with FFT story.  Damn, I'm going to miss Ivalice (FFT:  100 hours, FFTA:  70 hours, FFTA2:  90 hours, FF XII:  73 hours = 333 hours spent in this game world)
-  Strong Bad:  Episodes 1-3 (May 15) - B:  Excellent writing and graphics, but the point and click got a little stale after a while.  Fun to actually play around in Strongbadia though.  About 3-4 hours each.
-  Faerie Solitaire (June 23) - B+:  After getting frustrated with the difficulty level of Fairway Solitaire, I tried the Faerie version instead.  A genius take on the standard solitaire formula, and one of the most fiendishly addicting games I've ever played.  About 12 hours.
-  Axel & Pixel (October 20) - C:  Cute idea, but being able to rip through the entire game in about 3 hours didn't help it's cause.
-  Torchlight (November 25) - C+:  A couple hours in, I would have said Torchlight was a true Diablo killer.  12 hours and 35 levels later, I was pretty bored.  They got most of the pieces right, but the ultra-repetitive areas and monsters made things pretty dull.
-  Dragon Age Origins (December 165) - A:  Bioware can do no wrong in my book.  DA:O was a superbly written and crafted RPG from start to finish.  My GOTY, no question.

iPhone
-  Treasures of Montezuma (May 4) - B+:  An awesomely fun match-3 game that feels like Bejeweled on crack.  Fantastic production values for the iPhone as well.  Needs a pause button though.
-  Peggle (May 23) - A-:  I had never quite gotten through all the levels on the other platforms (PC or DS), but finally pushed through on the iPhone.  Awesome port of a ridiculously fun little game.
-  Sally's Spa (July 24) - A:  While initially pretty skeptical, this insanely addicting title won me over in a hurry.
-  Underworlds (July 25) - C+:  Awesome graphics, excellent hack-n-slash gameplay, the closest I've felt to the original Diablo on any platform.  Unfortunately, it's only 2 hours long and has a distinct lack of enemy types.
-  Ranch Rush (Aug 11) - B+:  Fun time management sim in the same vein as Sally's Spa

-  Gyromancer (360)


PLAYED AND DISCARDED
-  The Witcher:  Enhanced Edition:  For some reason, this game simply grinds to a halt with me around the beginning of chapter 4.  I just have no motivation to start exploring the city and doing 8 million side quests again.
-  Chrono Trigger:  Got very close to the end, got distracted, and sold it.
-  Star Ocean Second Evolution:  Good lord, what an incredibly dull game
-  Avalon Code:  Decent ideas, terrible interface.
-  Fairway Solitaire:  Fun and addicting, but also ridiculously difficult and frustrating.
-  World of Warcraft:  Not enough time in my life for an MMO
-  Warcraft III:  Fun, but can't really get into RTS'
-  Crimson Gem Saga:  Loved everything about it, except the crazy-ass difficulty
-  Shin Megami Tensai:  Devil Survivor:  Great game, got nearly to the end before moving on to other things
-  Dragon Quest V:  Too much grinding, dull story and characters.  Pretty much my opinion of every DQ game.
-  Plants vs. Zombies:  Fun, but got too complex in the late-game.
-  Bookworm Adventures 2
-  Atelier Annie:  Surprisingly fun, but not quite enough to keep me interested to the end
-  IL-2 Sturmovik:  Flight sims just really aren't my thing
-  Band Hero (DS):  Peripherals were awful.
-  Assassin's Creed 1 and 2:  Probably played these too close together, as AC2 felt exactly like AC1 with a new coat of paint...and I was already bored with AC1.
-  Neverwinter Nights 2:  Why do I keep trying this game?

Fallout 3 - keep meaning to get back into the wasteland, but man, it's a huge game
Dead Space - it's like Aliens and event horizon mixed in to one.  scary at times and pretty gore-y too.
Prince of Persia - somewhat flawed, but fun and quite beautiful.
Mario & Luigi: BIS - fun little action rpg on the go.
Sacred 2 - i intend to finish this at least once before i shelve it.

CoD: World at War - Hardened difficult is a pita, veteran difficulty can kiss my ass.

The Simpsons - last boss is a huge pita using the 360's D pad.
Maw - not bad for an XBLA, although too short.
GTA: TLaD - a great extension to the game, imo
MGS4 - one of the games which will always have a place on my shelf.  great fun all all the way through.
Red Faction: Guerrilla - action game of the year, imho
infamous - pretty damn fun and a great standout game on the ps3
Ghostbusters - best movie to game conversion and great fun all around.
HAWX - this game is a lot more fun than i ever expected it to be.  
Shadow Complex - best 2D side scroller i have played in a long long time.
Batman: AA - all around, one of the best games of the year.  Action game of the year contender.
Halo ODST:  fun, if a little derivative and short.  
Saints Row 2 - more fun than gta 4
Far Cry 2 - more than half way through at 40+ hours so far.  one of the longest fps i have played
Call of Juarez: BiB - damn nice western shooter, and i'm enjoying the shooting mechanics
Professor Layton 2 - great portable diversion
Borderlands - great fpsrpg with a hugely addicting loot system.

Protoype - what's worse than fighting a boss with unbreakable blocks?  that's right, a time limit.  sent back, glad i didn't buy it.  frustrating 2nd half to an enjoyable first half.

Overlord 2 - had the same battle i had with the first one; burn out boredom.
