Game Discussion: Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy [PS2/Xbox]

The game has shipped.  So far Gamespy has reviewed the PS2 and Xbox versions (from Friday), giving both a 4 out of 5.

Pros: Amazing physics; very cool psychic powers; smart, tough AI; twisting, espionage-filled storyline.

Cons: Average graphics; occasionally troublesome camera.

This could be one of those sleepers like The Suffering was.  So, anyone going to pick this game up?  I would expect CG to get their hands on a copy, but I don't know when whichever reviewer would have it in their hands.

In!  Well, if not for the review (wink, wink) then at least I've been meaning to pick up that demo they released a while back.  The concept appeals to me, but I acknowledge it will be a tricky one to pull off.

Don't know if anyone really gives a darn, but I heard that if you buy this game from Target, you get a free Cold CD with like 4 songs on it.  Don't quote me on this, but I did hear it somewhere.  

Cold is the group that did the main theme song ("With My Mind", or something like that) from the game.

They aren't a bad group, albeit they sound alot like most other groups of this type around right now (at least to me).

I remember my friend playing around at the end of the demo for hours, just using his powers doing things.  He was pretty intrigued.  I don't know though - I'll probably wait til it takes a hit in price and then pick it up

There is a nice thread on this over at GG.  It sounds good.  I haven't played the demo and initially wrote it off with the tought that there is no way they could pull it off.  Looking forward to the definitive CG review!

I'm one of those who spent probably an hour and a half figuring out all the fun ways to play around with the psi-powers at the end of the demo.

I'm probably going to pick this one up tomorrow after work.
